I cant stand all the checking in thing!! People are out in bars and nightclubs and checking in!! WHY are they on facebook if they are out having such a good time?

Also I hate people checking in that they are IN BED or AT HOME or TESCOS

What's with the need to tell everyone that crap for??

probably the attention seeking one's that do it
around the last year or so i've noticed a lot of older people joined facebook(people around my mothers age & a bit younger, well really it seems like a minority that aren't on it & thats including every business in ireland), nothing wrong with that but these people are nearly as bad as 14 year old's for posting spam type messages and are also the type that'd check into somewhere stupid like tesco etc. maybe its to show that they 'get facebook'

I agree totally. I needed some time to get my head around a loss of my own recently. Not once did I think of turning to FB.

Using txtspeak whilst at a laptop or desktop really confuses me. It's fine in its own medium, i.e. texts or status update from a mobile. But if I'm at a decent computer keyboard, I much prefer typing to the best of my ability.

I guess it's just a pet hate of mine (or maybe I'm the one with the problem, I really don't know). Various people I'm friends with have a fine standard of English talking face-to-face. But I see some of their output from a computer keyboard and I feel like scratching my eyes out.

And I got this gem earlier:

This coming from a guy who as far as I can tell has no interest in film-making beyond whatever dross Michael Bay releases every so often.
