    What's 'normal'?

Irregular implies unlawful or illegal. You may not -like- that hand-picked judges have been appointed, or that the Senators blocked judges on ideological vs qualification grounds, but that's not to say it's not within their acknowledged powers to do so. Is not your proposed solution more hand-picking of judges?

nobody has suggested they acted outside their powers.

it is a list of trump DONORS not voters. compiled from publicly available information. and some of the data goes back to the last election.

Trumps financial support is largely grassroots, They are all voters.

The document has a “Case ID” section, which is filled in with a hand-written number: 272D-BA-3065729, according to the report, which says multiple officials and the FBI’s website confirm that “272” is the bureau’s classification for money laundering and “272D” refers to “Money Laundering, Unknown SUA [Specified Unlawful Activity]—White Collar Crime Program,” according to FBI documents. One government official told Fox News that “272D” is “transnational or blanket.”

“BA” means that the case was opened in the FBI’s Baltimore field office, while the documents say that the subpoena was carried out in Wilmington, Del., which is under the jurisdiction of the Baltimore field office.

“The FBI cannot open a case without predication, so they believed there was predication for criminal activity,” a government official told Fox News. “This means there was sufficient evidence to believe that there was criminal conduct.”

Gets worse and worse for Hunter and Joe Biden.

    I love this story

    Rudy: emails!

    Public: meh

Rudy: ? But wait! There’s more! Hunter smokes a crack pipe! There’s a video

Public: prayers for him and his addiction

Rudy: Hmm okay how about we throw in some money laundering too?

    :D

Like every day the story has to get increasing tiers of salaciousness to keep it in the headlines. There’s nothing there like there hasn’t been for every mainstream political “scandal” Republicans have harped about in the last 20 years.

No it doesn't. What sort of idiocy are you attempting? I pointed out the FBI seizing the laptop about two days ago and that Giuliani never had the laptop, only a purported copy of it's hard drive, and here you are making out it's a newly revealed coup de gras when it's old news.

You may not -like- that hand-picked judges have been appointed, or that the Senators blocked judges on ideological vs qualification grounds, but that's not to say it's not within their acknowledged powers to do so. Witness Nixon's over-a-year-long attempt to fill a seat in the late 1960s. Is not your proposed solution more hand-picking of judges?
If it’s normal find me a president who has molded a bigger percentage of the justice system with appointees - presumably besides George Washington and early presidents.

Over a quarter of the courts filled/replaced in 4 years.

It's a damn list of Trump voters. So their neighbours can harrass them.
....are you joking or not? I just explained it uses the Fec website...you can search for any name...

Sorry, I assumed most people were up to speed on the sequence of events. I'll fill you in.

The laptop was seized by the FBI in September 2019, we didn't know why until now. All we knew was that agent Joshua Wilson took possession of it. The repair shop guy had made a copy of the drive to transfer onto Hunter's external drive. He later passed a copy of his copy to Rudy's lawyer. He also said he made two other copies and gave them to friends 'in case anything happened' to him.

Now we know the FBI had seized it as part of an active money laundering investigation that already existed when the laptop came to their attention. That wasn't known two days ago.

It is unclear, at this point, whether the investigation is ongoing or if it was directly related to Hunter Biden.

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with Rudy. Fox News obtained the subpoena documents and verified them with official sources.

I expect that by the 3rd of November, we will find out that Hunters laptop also included the following.

A photoshop file showing Obama's original Kenyan birth certificate edited to reference Hawaii.
The GPS co-ordinates of the location of Jimmy Hoffa's body.
A list of the original coca-cola ingredients.
The original Game of Thrones Season 8 plot which was stolen and replaced with the pound store version we ended up having to watch.

This 'releasing' of information, the narrative around it, the people involved is so laughable you have to remind yourself that this is the intelligence and professionalism of the close confidants of the President of the United States of America and that is a sobering thought.

It shows the laptop was considered evidence in an active money laundering investigation, therefore the contents were not suspected to be a fabrication or a Russian hoax.

Your logic there is pretty Swiss cheese bud.

The Steele Dossier was considered evidence by the FBI. Does this mean the Dossier is totally genuine, not fabricated or a hoax?

thats like asking a soccer player if he would score into an empty net in a cup final if the oppossition goal keeper passed him the ball ..

Obama is the goal keeper , and he left 40 Federal judicial seats vacant when he left office .

Trump simply tapped each one over the line .. goal..goal..goall.. goall

A nice analogy but ever so slightly disingenuous.

Many on the Nasty side of Anglo Saxon politics, namely the Conservative, Brexity, neoconservative, anti-immigration, anti-Europe, US Second Amendment supporting, social-welfare-hating, MAGA, America First, we-hate-globalisation-but-we-still-outsource-all-our-manufacturing-to-Mexico-and-China people (sometime lazily described as "The Right") like to warn against the nefarious long-term strategy, espoused by what they call "The Left", of the Long March Through the Institutions.

Normally credited initially to the early 20th century Italian socialist Antonio Gramsci, later developed and espoused by more recent radicals like Rudi Dutschke in Germany this strategy proposed to change society gradually by infiltrating institutions such as the universities, the media, the civil service and other public sector bodies and turning them to the progressive, statist, socialist way of thinking by force of numbers. (More Evolutionary than Revolutionary but there you are)

To listen to many Nasty commentators, the Douglas Murray, Peter Hitchens, Tucker Carlson ilk, this has already happened and now the universities and the "Main Stream Media" are bastions of "wokism" or "political correctness" or whatever is the phrase-du-jour for good old fashioned self righteous priggishness.

In the US, the Nasty people (called Republicans over there) have followed a mirror strategy but their Long March has been through the judiciary. In that benighted country, the President gets to nominate senior judges at Federal level up to and including the Supreme Court but the "checks and balances" that pertain there mean that the Senate has the final say on whether or not a judge gets appointed. If they don't like the President's pick, they just vote to reject the candidate or, more blatantly, not to consider them at all.

Obama didn't "leave 49 Federal judicial seats vacant" like some absent minded grandparent looking for his glasses which were on his head all the time. He was blocked from filling them.

If you want to continue your soccer analogy, your suggestion that Obama was a glory-hunting full back poncing around in the opponent's half of the field thereby leaving his own penalty area unguarded and presenting the opposition with simple tap-ins is utterly disingenuous.

If the penalty area was left empty it was because the defenders had been put out of the game by some tough over the top tackling, and so they were either writhing in pain down field or taken off the field altogether.

In the case of the Supreme Court of the USA, the Republican influence is ominous. In the past 50 years or so, since Richard Nixon came to power in 1969, there have been 20 appointments to the Supreme Court (assuming Coney Barrett is shooed in which she has not yet been at the time of writing). Of those 20, 16 a whopping 80%, have been appointed by Republican presidents.

Of the Democrats, Carter notoriously wasn't able to appoint any in his four years in charge. Clinton appointed two in his eight years, one of whom was the late Judge Bader Ginsberg, and Obama appointed another two, Judges Sotomayor and Kagan. Trump has appointed three (assuming Coney Barrett gets confirmed) which is astonishing for a single term (so far ) president.

The derogatory term among left-of-centre, or even right wing, people for those who support the "Long March through the Institutions" strategy is "Trot", short for Trotskyite.

Seems to me that the Bushes, Reagans and Trumps of this world are the more effective Trots by far.

It doesn't prove that at all..

And more importantly is doesn't show the Hunter Biden is the focus of any investigation - He could be a victim for all we know.

And as the reporting says itself. There is no information to suggest that Hunter Biden is the target or if the investigation is still active

Just to get this straight, you don't support Trump, but think he will win, and believe the story that Giuliani is pushing at the moment based on the facts and details, or because it goes against mainstream media?

While putting 'everything' in quotes looks fun (I mean why 'oxygen'? was that needed?), the assertion is that anyone who can believe the list of circumstances that would lead to the email story being real (and maybe there is some real evidence out there that will come to light, I doubt it, and Rudy is probably finished with his hands down his pants tonight) are also in a venn diagram conjoined with those who believe in other outlandish conspiracy theories.

I am sceptical but I believe it is not to be ignored based on what's been presented so far. Each day that passes I become more convinced. There are 4 or 5 people on the record, along with the Biden campaigns incredible responses and the sudden patterns of coordinated propoganda and general lack of curiosity from journalists who's job used to be to ask the questions that I and others are asking.

I put oxygen in quotes purposefully because it is the part of the Biden and media's defence not to give oxygen to conspiracies except when they are blasting them on mainstream media. I notice certain keywords popping up in everyone's arguments. First, russian disinformation, second QAnon. And I notice how people are blasé with the language they read and reproduce and when they lump whole swathes of criticism into a neat 'conspiracy theory' box. Whereas people on here immediately say the Director of National Intelligence was lying because he's a republican without irony.

Yes, the DOJ denying it was one of our trusted 'unnamed sources' ( each day I am told different things about whether that we can place value on these) and the FBI responded in the letter.

I also didn't buy the coordinated hit-pieces on Rudy Giuliani last time, or the russian disinformation that caused the impeachment and FBI probe.

The Steele Dossier was collected investigative research, this is a laptop hard drive with the personal information of a private citizen. The FBI felt it was necessary to seize it as part of an active, pre-existing money laundering investigation. Therefore they did not consider it Russian election interference or stuff made up to make a politician look bad. It was being looked at to investigate white collar crime.
