Onto day 31 now with no second dose appointment for the mother. Got her first on 18th May in PUC Cork. Know people who get theirs on the 19th, 20th and 21st who have been done.

My uncle got his first dose on 20th in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and is also still waiting on text for his 2nd.

Why not Tony H? The man soldiered on through his wife's illness and death at a time when, as the public face of NPHET, he wasn't that popular. Couldn't see myself being able to do the same thing in his shoes.

While Tony has done a good job in dealing with Covid it doesn't erase his involvement in the failings of cervical check.

An old 41, since the start of the year :) , Limerick, registered 02nd June. No appointment yet.

    Getting tetchy :(

    Awaiting appointment 1
Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a text message with details on which vaccine you will get and where you will be vaccinated. You should get this message within 3 weeks of registering.

So what's the expected time lines at a guess? Thinking myself that 35-39s from 28th June onwards until about mid July, 30-34s from mid July to early August. Hard to see college students getting their first doses before September at that rate.

It was reported yesterday that each of these cohorts would take 3-4 weeks to get through . Mid August might be more like it. Then 25+ ...so yes, september for college students. Prob end of september if they are at the 18 year old end?

Or the deaths in the nursing homes in the first wave. Sending patients from hospital to nursing homes without a covid test was never going to end well

Was there at 6.25, appt 6.35, long queues inside but always moved. Jabbed at 07.50, out 8.05. Was in group of last 30 - they gave out tickets. Very well organised, efficient, courteous and friendly staff.
Have sniffles this morning but great to be at this stage. Now for the BH.

Wasn't that an HSE decision? So Paul Reid rather than Tony Holohan.

I don't claim to understand health bureaucracy but I thought the CMO and the HSE reported in to the Minister of Health separately.

Mother getting 2nd AstraZeneca vaccine next weekend.
8 weeks and few days gap.
Looks like HSE is actively trying to get all >60s vaccinated ASAP.

    47 minutes including 15 observation.

Place was very busy, but they had us all moving along nicely.

Same as every other age group. The request to register on different days is to stagger demand.

Won't get you an appointment any quicker

Just go straight through. It won't reject a date of birth for anyone 35-39

It's been the same when every other age group opens. Asking people to register on a specific day is to stagger demand

That was always the case. An 18 year old could register today and the system would accept it. They wont get called quicker but they can register. The day by day registration is just so the site doesnt crash with everyone going on at once.

I don’t think that’s true. It asks your birth year in the opening page so an 18 year would need to lie about that which would cause issues later on when giving PPS number etc.

No you just put in your real birth year and it accepts your registration.

If you arent registered go ahead and try and register. It will accept your input no matter your age.

Do you really think the guys who brought us the "biggest theft of personal medical data in history because they couldnt be bothered patching their windows software " built a sophisticated system that cross references Stephen Donnelly tweets telling people what days to register with users DOBs?

Anyone can register at any time. I know plenty of people who registered early. It makes no difference to when you are called.

This poster *literally* just posted that they registered out of turn - theres proof on this thread!

Register today! You will get precisely zero advantages but equally zero disadvantages from doing so.

    Tried that, won't accept it.

Will accept down to birth year of 1986 currently.

Its always been the way, it'll accept all the years of whatever is open or due to open but nothing lower.

But he’s in the 35-39 age group presumably which is now open. You said 18 year olds can register which doesn’t sound right.

2hr 30 minutes in Navan today. Huge queues

Greystones were exactly 28 days last week for 2nd pfizer
    Next week it's 30 days

So there's a lag now even in very efficient mvcs confirmed at Parc uí caoimh and Greystones for 2nd pfizer
Possibly caused by the faster AZ roll out

They were offering people in the queue option to come back on Thursday, as it's a Moderna day, but no guarantee you would be waiting as long again.
Some left but most just waited to get it done with.

Not sure what happening with Fairyhouse. It's open a few days now but don't know anyone scheduled for there.

Stop showing up as an idiot because it's not true. It'll only accept the appropriate year of birth. Also, the vaccine portal is Salesforce, so fcuk all to do with the HSE.
