Registered my daughter (7 years old) very early on Monday and got appointment for Wednesday (tomorrow) evening in RDS Dublin.

Got appointment for my 7 year old but not 10 yr old. It says online you can bring kids together even if their appointments aren’t at the same time, so I’ll be bringing both. I’m sure by then the 10yr old will have got a text too.

    As per the HSE website, 1 appointment will do for multiple children;

    More than one child

You need to register each child separately. But if you have more than one child getting vaccinated, you can bring them to the same appointment time, even if their appointments are on different days.

This means that families will only have to travel once for each vaccine dose.

Wow, registered two kids in 5-11 category yesterday, no appointments yet - neither are high risk but it said could take 2 weeks to get an appointment.

    Am in South Dublin.

South Dublin as well. Registered 5 and 7 year old yesterday before lunch. Got text with Sat morning appointment for 5 year within about 5-6 hours. Still nothing for 7 year but will bring him along as pointed out by others above

As others have similarly mentioned, registered my 7 year old yesterday morning, appointment confirmed for Saturday, Swords.

Whereas I know people who registered their children last week (underlying condition) and had their appointments cancelled by the HSE who offered no explanation and have yet to give a rescheduled appointment. It's disgraceful behaviour.

I'm also in South Dublin. My 7 year got appointment for this evening. No conditions.

Can anyone tell me if they were asked for any details of their child's high risk condition when they registered? I registered when the portal first opened but wasn't asked for any details.

Wasn't asked for any details when I registered the two kids on Monday (thankfully they have none).

No appointments yet but seems everyone else is getting theirs...

Anyone happen to know days and times that the RDS vaccine centre is doing appointments for kids over the next few days?

  • Registered Users Posts: 134 ✭✭busterjones

One of the kids just cancelled appointment for 9 year old brother by replying to the HSE text! Pulling my hair out here as appointment not until Saturday week. Phone line closed.

    Appointment no longer showing online.

Anything similar happen to anyone here and what was outcome? Should we still just show up to original appointment?

Got all three of mine jabbed yesterday. Appointments were supposed to be on seperate days but no problem doing them all at the same time. The HSE staff were brilliant.

Kids proudly wearing their vax badges and stickers to school today, not a bother on any of them.

Same here, 6yo got his jab on Saturday morning and not a bother on him since then. He was delighted with himself on Monday morning going to school with his badge on..

Staff in the National Show Centre, Swords were great, and the guy that administered the jab was brilliant with the young lad.
