Thanks! Yeah I was a bit saddened, some think they're an authority on which conditions are highest risk etc.... I'm happy to let the medical experts decide that one.

49. Got a text from my GP last Wednesday and I'm due in on Thursday 20th May.

Wasn't told what vaccine would be used. I suppose I don't care particularly but the HSE seems to give differing info for the 40s cohort every other week!

58, got text today for appt Thursday in Clonmel Park Hotel vacc centre.

Has anyone got their vaccine in Simonstown, Navan?, and if so, how old and which vaccine?

Everyone is under stress waiting on this vaccine and there are numerous tales of people getting the vaccine who do not appear in any way vulnerable. If you have not shared your medical history with friends it is a natural assumption on their part to assume you have a "friend" somewhere in the system. I'm not saying they are right to be negative but I do understand their reaction. I must say I have been taken aback with how smug some people have become upon receiving their vaccine.

What happens if you can't make the appointment on the day that you are offered, is there any scope to move to the next day??

Yeah you're right, everyone is getting antsy waiting and worried about people skipping the queue. I could have been more clear in my post - they all know I have an underlying condition and that I've been very sick at times but I don't go on about it and I put a lot of effort into staying healthy and I do look healthy. It's more that everyone has a story of someone else who is older/has a condition/is a carer/teacher or similar and why haven't they got it yet etc. etc. I've been taken aback by how people throw caution to the wind once vaccinated, how do you mean smug?

I'm early 30s and got a similar reaction from some of my family when I got the call a month ago - because one of my parents is disabled. However my condition puts me in group 4, her multiple conditions put her in group 7. It is what it is.

If anyone's unhappy for you, feck them. They'd be diving on it if they were offered

My friend 54 got called for Moderna in Breffy House Castlebar this Thursday. I am waiting for appointment for Roscommon I am 57 hoping it will be Moderna or Pfizer as heard of some bad reactions locally to Astrozeneca. I wouldn’t mind j & j either as it is one dose.
