Anyone doing the IPO single lift in Drogheda?

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,192 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

I realised that the thread I posted was a very specific requests. But reposting here as some don't venture into the main forum too often. Anybody got any suggestions here for me?
Basically what I'm looking for is a way to set up my year with training blocks suited designed with specific (non-strength) sports competitions in mind. Rather than just general gym work throughout the year, changing cycles and programs when I feel like it, or progress slows.

I won't be lifting but I'll be there ... it's too close to the Nationals in march ... but it should be a great competition .. usually a very good athmosphere

This is a pretty basic one but should have a lot of the leg work done for you at least.

Need to update the dates though

Good people of the fitness forum.

This thread now has 180 posts left before it hits the mandatory 10K posts and must be locked. I'll miss her, she's a fine vessel, but we have to move on to a new off topic thread soon.

Any suggestions for a new thread name? We've had 2 Squats the Stories, is it time for a new name?

Cheers, I decided to just start my own yesterday as it was a slow day at work.
It ended up being pretty similar to the one you posted.

    The only sections I'm missing are;
    Testing
    Medical control
    Club
    Camp

    Psych
    Peaking

And I'm not entirely sure what to do with most of them.
"Medical control" suggests institutionalised doping to me, which is probably not correct :D.

"The James Hanley memorial thread, featuring Nate Dogg" would be my personal choice.

Sure, why not. That's it settled then. ;)

    (Source of Nate Dogg reference?)

You're clearly not a 90s G Funk fan. There was a period in the 90s and early 2000s when every rap tune that came out of California featured Nate Dogg. But Mr. Dogg never seemed to have any solo work.

Those nikes are sexual. The adidas are a sexually transmitted disease

Not sure why Adidas persist with that circular yoke for laces. Talk about trying to fix a problem the doesn't exist and it's just going to break

The BOA is just acting as a strap would on these new Leistungs. They have regular laces on them.

I actually don't find them that bad to look at. At least they are moving in the right direction from the first iteration of the Leistung which was an abomination. They still a step down looks wise from the Adipower though.
