I fancy over 2.5 goals in a few games tonight.

Drogheda vs Bohs: Bohs have scored in every away league match this season. Drogheda last 3 games have been overs. BTTS might be a good alternative but can see more than 2 goals in this one @ 2.08

Bray vs Dundalk: Bray usually go overs, the last 4 games in the league have been. 3 out of 4 of Dundalks away game have been overs this season @ 1.98

Derry vs Limerick: I can see Derry winning this one and as Magher pointed out Limerick usually score on the road @ 2.14

I will also be backing draw specialists to add another one to their account tonight in the Rovers vs Sligo game @ 3.2

If Bray are missing the 3 players that are doubtful I can't see anymore less than a 2-0 win for Dundalk.

Going for Dundalk as a single bet.

have Derry to win and also Sligo to score in both halves (3/1) mixed in to an accumulator too.

Might consider a small wager on Sligo score in both halves later depending on what happens with current bets running.

    Good luck all.

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***

NOTE THE KO TIMES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Drogheda Utd -v- St. Patricks Athletic - 3pm

Drogheda United have scored and conceded in EVERY home game this season. While St.Pats have scored in their last 4 away games but have kept a clean sheet in all 4.

No injury concerns, other than Drogheda have 2 first teamers back.

    Short and sweet, BTTS!

Both Teams to Score @ 11/10 (WH and PP) - MEDIUM STAKE

    Shamrock Rovers -v- Dundalk - 7pm

Dundalk on a 3 game win streak without conceding, they've also won every away game this season! BTTS have come in, in 3 out of 5 of their aways.

Rovers on the other hand are desparate for a win, having only won 2 games so far this season the pressure is mounting on Croly. BTTS have come in, in 3 out of their 5 home games.

Rovers still without a couple of players while Dundalk have just one player out, all players have been out of action for a while now so won't effect anything in my opinion.

I can't see Dundalk being beaten, and I can't see either team not scoring.

Both Teams to Score @ 6/5 (WH) - MEDIUM STAKE
Dundalk DNB @ 3/1 (General) - SMALL STAKE

    Shelbourne -v- Bray Wanderers - 7pm

Hate backing my own team but Shels finally seem to have got going, a win against UCD on Friday in a match Shels dominated, and a win on Tuesday in the Leinster Senior Cup, with two good away draws before that.

While Bray are in dire form, having lost their last 7 games in a row.

Shels have a couple of long term injuries and a suspension, but experience midfielder Paul Crowley is back.

Bray are missing Danny O'Connor, who's essential to their defense and experienced striker Shane O'Neill is out too.

Shelbourne to win @ 6/5 (Coral) - MEDIUM STAKE

Not doing anything today but broadly agree with those selections.

Drogheda looked fairly ordinary against Bohs the other night, I'm not sure they can get a result against Pat's today. Again, their minds will be on the Setanta Cup final, and in general, I don't think they are as good as last season.

Dundalk look a better side than Drogs this season and will push Rovers hard. But Rovers' fitness might get them on the start of a winning run today, can see there being a lot of tired muscles in that Dundalk team. Draw HT Rovers FT might be worth a poke.

    Cork v Limerick
    BTTS 1/1
Limerick have scored in all their away league games, while conceding in 4 from 5 of them.

    Sligo v Derry
    BTTS 1/1
Sligo have scored in all their home league games, while Derry have scored in all their away league games.

    Shamrock Rovers v Dundalk
    BTTS 11/10
Rovers have scored in all their home league games, while Dundalk have scored in all their away league games

Thought today was going to be great with the way Drogs/Pats ended. But it's the first and last time I back Shels and unlucky by all accounts on Dundalk not bagging a goal.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,521 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

Going to go for overs tonight in UCD .v. Bohemians. Both teams have been very poor defensively of late and there should be a few in this. I think 11/10 for over 2.5 goals represents good value.

I'm also going to have a small sneaky homer bet on Bohs -1 @ 4/1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,351 ✭✭✭magherakid

On overs 5/4 myself Bohs scored in all their away league games so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,818 ✭✭✭Bateman

Bohs very poor at UCD, the performances to get draws from Pat's & Drogheda away just took a lot out of them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,351 ✭✭✭magherakid

    Bray v Sligo
Sligo to score in both halves 1/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,963 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

    Derry City -v- UCD - 7.45pm

Derry will want to take advantage of any slip up by Sligo to move top of the table.

Derry have only lost two League games this season out of 12, both against table toppers Sligo. While UCD have only notched up two wins this season out of 12.

Derry have won their last 4 home games, scoring 10 and conceding 2.

UCD haven't won away this season, and have only notched up 1 point on the road (against 10 man Bray Wanderers). In their 6 games they've conceded 14 goals.

Few injuries either side, UCD's will affect them a lot more as they wouldn't have the cover Derry do.

UCD are in the middle of exams so could affect some players, also UCD only played on Tuesday so a trek up to Derry is the last thing they want.

I seen UCD play Shelbourne on Friday and UCD are dire, they can't seem to score, their keeper is very dodgy and their defence isn't great.

    Derry -1 normal @ 11/10 (General) - MEDIUM STAKE
    Derry -2 asian @ 2.750 (Bet365) - SMALL STAKE

    Dundalk -v- Shelbourne - 7.45pm

Dundalks home form isn't there strongest point this season, while Shelbournes is worse!

No new Dundalk injuries. But Shels could be missing anything up to 9 first team players from a squad of 23! All these players have featured in the last 3 matches, with the exception of Cronin and Burdon who are long term.

There's two stats which make the match ropey:

Dundalk will be looking to win back-to-back home league matches for the first time since May-June 2011.

Shelbourne are unbeaten at Oriel Park at the Premier Division since May 1998.

I personally won't be backing this due to me being a Shels fan! Heart > Head!

    Dundalk -1 @ 1.975 (Bet365) - SMALL STAKE

    Bohemians -v- Cork City - 7.45pm

It is eight games since Bohemians last kept a clean sheet in the league.

Cork City have not kept a clean sheet since the first game of the season.

Bohs concede a lot at home and should be able to bag against Cork with them missing a couple of players.

Both Team to Score @ 11/10 (General) - MEDIUM STAKE

    Wexford -v- SD Galway - 8pm

H2H stats are quality for this fixture. Both teams love to score and love to concede.

Last 3 Wexford matches they've gone Over 2.5.

SD are on a bit of a dry patch but they should get back to scoring ways tomorrow.

    My guess it 2-1 Wexford!

Over 2.5 Goals @ Evens (General) - SMALL STAKE

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,668 ✭✭✭Corkbah

Well done Gav ... one in before half-time (Bohs/Cork both scored)

have done a double of this with Derry(-1) and Sligo (-1) all 10/11 ...here's hoping for a good second half.

Derry absolutely killed me! How they could lose to a very weak and depleted UCD side is beyond me.

Same... and Sligo not scoring against Bray.

Had a feeling that would be ropey, but UCD were so depleted, 3rd choice keeper playing, etc...

What do you think about Limerick and Drogheda tomorrow? I think Limerick will win it... And as always with Limerick there will be goals. Limerick to win and 3 or 4 goals in the match is 4/1 with PP. What do you think?? Reverse fixture ended 2-2. Limerick were away.

Can't see them winning by that much, can see Limerick win though.

You would have to think that Limerick will win, in the reverse fixture Limerick had 10 men for the second half and 9 men after 75min and conceeded two peno's the equalizer in the 87th min - I'm already on the overs but i like your Limerick to win and 3 or 4 goals @ 4/1

    Derry 30.7
    Pats 30.2

LOI bets on early for tomorrow:

Rovers vs Bohs: I expect Rovers to be leggy as per Crolys comments after the Pats game so we could see a slow start here. In general the derby is a tight, low scoring game. I have opted for half time to be 0-0 at 7/4, small stakes and also BTTS (No) at which has come in 5 out of the last 6 derbies.

Drogheda vs Derry: This fixture usually brings home the BTTS bet, has in the last 4 games between them, as have all of Drogs home league games this season so I have gone with this to land at 4/5.

Both teams in the middle of a run of indifferent form so hard to know what way this game will go. Drogheda are overpriced imo especially with Derry on a poor run so I am probably going to lay Derry around 2.4 and back Drogs DNB at 6/5.

UCD vs Limerick: Limerick score in all away games going back a long while and UCD have started to score a few goals recently so I will be backing BTTS at 4/5.

    Short and sweet.

    Cork City -v- Bray Wanderers - 7.45pm

Cork have conceded in every home league game, Bray have score 4 goals in their last 2 away games.

Cork missing a few first teamers, Bray nearly full strenght.

Both Teams to Score @ Evens (WH) - MEDIUM STAKE

    UCD -v- Limerick - 7.45pm

UCD have only scored 4 goals at home, while Limerick have netted 13 on the road.

All Limericks away matches have gone over 2.5 goals this season.

    Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10 (GENERAL) - MEDIUM STAKE

    Finn Harps -v- Wexford Youths - 8pm

Harps 4 out of 10 matches over 2.5 goals

Mervue 7 out of 10 matches over 2.5 goals

The last 5 H2H's 4 of the matches have been over 2.5 goals, with one being over 1.5.

    Over 2.5 goals @ 21/20 (GENERAL) - MEDIUM STAKE
