Although I did encounter a bug where my squad kept firing after all the enemies were cleared, preventing me from continuing to the next area. Had to revert to the last save.

Good to know, thank's , I've been guilty of relying on auto saves in the past much to my annoyance. This was a good reminder for me not to do that :o

Am I to understand that different weapons withing a given group only differ by firing mode and the model? There is no listing of accuracy or damage.

I think so. I'm waiting for someone online to make a guide for the weapons of something. It's a bit mad.

Why did you order two copies?

I wanted the CE because I'm a ME fan. I ordered the Amazon copy because of their inclusive exclusive DLC deal.

loyalty is important in the end game so you have to work on getting your team to trust you but why do the original games team members whoever they may be not trust me fully from the start.

just to add one more thing when your flying around mining with the probes go home to earth and probe a few of those planets(and pay attention while doing it).

So you paid £30 for 1 suit of armour????
Off topic, but would you buy some of these magic beans?

Godamn you The Hut! One of these days I'll learn not to order from them if I want a game on release day!

Haven't had a chance to play yet (I'm miles away from my xbox) but with regards loading a save from ME1, does it need to be a finished game save?

Reason I ask is that I'm pretty sure I foolishly deleted the ME1

And if it was possible to use an imcomplete game save would there be any benefit?

And I can trade it in here for the value of €40 next week. So I make €10. Think people, think. I've been doing this for over a year now. Buy cheap games online and trade them in to shops here at our inflated prices and you can make money. I got Halo ODST for €28 new, traded it in and got €38 for it. Failing that I use buy and sell. Either way I break even or make cash.

Yep it has to have at least 1 play through complete and its only really worth it for a level 50 or higher character.

I think there are subtle differences. I only have 2 assault rifles at the moment, one holds 120 rounds, fires in short bursts and is quite accurate while the other holds 440 rounds, fully automatic and sprays wildly. Same goes for pistols, basic one is semi-auto, 72 rounds and quite accurate/damage wise. Also have what equates to a magnum, 26 rounds, slow fire rate but lots of damage.

I think its similar to some FPS games, each gun doesnt have stats associated to each gun but fire differently, you just gotta find one that suits your combat style.

Yeah I know what you mean, it's just very unsettling playing a game labelled as an RPG without it being loaded with weapons stats like damage, range, etc. it's like watching a porno but nobody is willing to take off their clothes and show you the goods.

Have a question. You know when you start the game and set up the EA Cerberus account to get the free DLC. I did that and it worked fine. I now have another content code and I can't get find where to enter the codes now. Its not an Xbox Market Place code. I can't get into the area to enter a code in the Cerberus network.

    Any help.

you might have to go to Masseffect.com and redeem it there, thats what I had to do with my collectors ed armour.

Yeah had to go to the ea site to check, then to bioware and enter the code. I have it downloaded but I can't select it my armour loadout screen. Maybe my level is too low.

    Which code?

I managed to download all the free armours cos of the MS glitch and they were all available to wear from armour lockers straight away.

Actually - anyone know how to turn the helmet off?

In the first game you just clicked the left stick in the inventory screen and the helmet was taken off. But there doesn't seem to be that option in ME2. When I wear any of the new free armours, ye can't see
    Shepherds
face during conversations with other characters.

Yeah very annoying, I think it can only be chosen from the armour selection screen in your cabin.

its in your Armour Customisation section where you set the colours etc. Access that in your Captains Cabin.

As for the DLC... you have to set up an EA account and then a Cerebus account for what? some armour?

    Pass.

The shop gave me the preorder codes etc with the game for free (I shop there a lot) so if anyone wants it, PM me and I'll pm it over to you. I cant be arsed with all that account malarky

    DeV.

This game is actually very addictive!! I've been playing it all day! (and half of yesterday) It's one of the best games I've played in a while :D

Would love to know how to do this as well, I wore the Inferno suit for all of 20 seconds then went back to a customised armour because of it...
First impressions are great anyway, and I love some of the bonuses for importing a character
you get craploads of credits if you had a rich character in ME1, now I just need to find somewhere to spend them...
Kind of regretting choosing the Vanguard so far, used the dash moves a few times but I end up getting hammered and having to run back to cover:o Will give it a bit more play before I decide to re-roll.

1200 points for the cerberus network is a bit shocking too, I guess it's to put people off buying preowned, but just strikes me as being a bit too greedy! (suppose this is EA we're talking about though...)

Is there any place to buy/find weapons in this game? All I ever seem to get are just upgrades. You cant actually find any new weapons??

Yeah you can find weapons on missions. I have found 4 so far.
You get a new assault rifle when you go to get Gerras, the collector heavy weapon when you go to see Ashley and the SMG when you go to pick up Tali. I picked up a heavy pistol from somewhere very early in the game.

There is only 19 total weapons in the game. Not a few hundred like the last game.

Game is outstanding, you can get armour and stuff in markets all over the place, weapons get upgrades etc from the ship, the game dosent really kick into it's full pace until about 6 hrs in. Love the zaeed DLC charecter you get with the cerubus network.

Need to finish Bayonetta first before I get into this. I've made myself strict promises that I will finish a game before I move on to the next! I have a feeling I may not even start this until much later though, with so much coming through in the next few months!

I'm in the exact same position. I'm playing Bayonetta at the moment and have Unchartered (1) and God of War Collection coming to complete next. It was my new years resolution that I'd complete games before starting another one!

Seriously cant wait to play this though!

It's a ridiculous time of the year!

I've Brutal Legend, Uncharted 1 and 2 sitting there. We have Dantes Inferno, Final Fantasy XIII, BioShock 2, Alien Vs Predator and a few more out before the end of April! Damn you job/life!

Even though this for me is a ten out of ten game-I have a serious gripe with the loading times after u die!!! Only because it stops me from playing the game :D

the customization is fantastic, I spend about ten minutes after each mission in the captains cabin messing around. Genius game. I'm playing as vanguard, cryo ammo+charge=epic win. I love how much bigger it is then ME1.

Aaargh... get out of my head man!!

    *Bang Bang... Shatter*

Anyone want the DLC codes for the Collectors Armour and Gun and the Terminus Armour and Gun?? I got all the stuff because of the Microsoft mistake on Monday morning, so I've no need for my codes!
