    This explains Mordin - http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1121616
Just use him to escort the crew back to the Normandy and he'll survive.

I just don't select him for any task and he lives all the time for me.

Also send either Tali or Legion into the vents.
Have Miranda lead the groups and have Samara as your bubble-person. Send Garrus as survivor escort. I never had to pick anyone to hold the line or hold the door. I don't know where people are getting this, are they renegade options?

Thats the tactic I use and works all the time. Going to try different combos.

started playing it the other day and like it..
of course being in a rush to play it I installed it...set up my terminus gear and paid for the Cerberus network add on.

After playing for a while I went to read the booklet and found a code for the Cerberus network to download for free...d'oh..mad.gif

anyway this means for some lucky soul that only brought the regular edition I've a free code for them to use on the xbox 360 version...

    so who wants it? biggrin.gif
first to pm who doesn't already have it will get it

Change your Normandy/Battle outfits using a control panel in your room.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,532 ✭✭✭WolfForager

Can't it be done in the combat room too? To the right of the map?

Just remember seeing an Omni-desk there..

You can select your armour at the terminal in your office only. The weapons can be selected before any mission or in the ship armoury.

Speaking of DLC there is more free stuff coming at the end of this month. The much talked about hover tank type vehicle and 5 new missions featuring it.

Just finished the game there the other night. Great stuff. Managed to get through with everyone surviving. Played through as mainly Paragon but with a few tasty renegade decisions made along the way. 2 achievements let in the game for the full 1015 points. Reach level 30 and finish on Insanity. Tempted to give it a go and play full on renegade but will most likely be waiting til the DLC is released. Still looking strongly like an early game of the year for me.

A bit more news on the upcoming Hammerhead DLC at the end of March and talk of further DLC and a new character. Still all free from the looks of things. I'm glad this stuff is coming from the EA servers and not Live otherwise we'd have to pay for all it.

    Sounds good....

Its a bit late though integrating another character into the story though, but more Mass Effect is always good.

I wonder are they gonna do an Add On pack at some stage too, similar to the Dragon age one coming out shortly.

Dammit. So close. One person died at the endgame. She wasn't loyal so I figured I'd keep her with me so she wouldn't die. Going to reload as I want to keep all my team!

The endgame is very logical when you think about it (you *should* know your crew back to front anyway as any good captain would :D).
Need a techie - Legion or Tali
Need a badass group leader - Obviously Garrus. Remember Omega?
Biotic protector - Samara or Jack (needs to be high powered biotic)
Escort the crew - someone competent but who won't be missed to much holding the line (I used Jacob).

How many hours did it take you (check your save game)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,324 ✭✭✭chrislad

Took me just under 20 hours, and I did everything, got all loyalty missions done, got pretty much everything upgraded, and about 80% of the galaxy surveyed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,532 ✭✭✭WolfForager

Wha?? I clocked in at 55 hours :pac:

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 18,115 ✭✭✭✭ShiverinEskimo

I took my time aswell - 39 hours or something. Did all the side quests I could find etc. and generally didn't rush. Enjoyed it.

I can't honestly see how! I did everything practically, including the two DLC missions with the Normandy and Zaeed. I wasn't rushing. In fact, I had to take steps back as the game seemed to be rushing me into the main story when I was happy doing loyalty and side missions.

Probably because i explored every nook and cranny and bought all possible upgrades meaning that i spent about 15 hours getting resources :P

I did pretty much the same to be honest! Got all the upgrades (bar the tech ones since I didn't really use Tali or Mordin [though he's by far the best character in the game, talk to him once you finish the game and get the Gilbert and Sullivan option!!!]).

    *shrugs*

Great game. I doubt ME3 will be too far away though. I suspect we will have it by Christmas 2011.

Noticed something odd with an imported character I've been playing. When I ran into
Conrad Verner in the bar on Illium, he talked about how I shoved a gun in his face - thing is, I didn't, despite the temptation. I did the goody-goody thing and calmly talked him into going home to his wife, as I was going for an all-out Paragon game this time around.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or has anyone noticed any other ME1 decisions getting lost in translation?

No he wasn't on Illium for me and I played super Paragon as my "canon" Shepard. I can't remember what I did when I met him on the Citadel. I may have told him nicely that I was too busy to talk.
