    Friday 11/03/2016 11 miles @ 7:55(Didn't upload on strava, on MMR/garmin connect)

    Saturday 12/03/2016 7 miles @ 7:48

    Sunday 13/03/2016 21 miles @ 8:29

Nothing to note on Friday and Saturdays runs.

Long run today started of very badly. Felt like sh1te for the opening 3 miles. I was wrecked, the legs were shot and I was sweating like a ............ I was actually going to bail on it, said to myself if I'm still this bad be salthill I'll go to sisters house and get lift home...

Thankfully though, it all sorted itself out. Gradually I got into the run and felt a lot better. Yet another miscalculation left me with almost an aditional 2 miles but I was in no bother really. Glad to get it done.

I was happy out when I got home, then I saw the mayo man had a cracking run in the castlebar 5k.... Took the wind out of my sails yet again he did :D:D
Great run P, your in super shape boss :)

    Just saw the update now.

Was happy enough with Cadtlebar. Small pb but sure I was on for Sub 19 until the finish. Soon, I hope.

You're going well. The work is nearly done.
I think the head is as important as the legs at this stage. Stay positive, we don't want to talk ourselves out of a good race in Rotterdam.

Always good to get a pb in cattlebar :D:D

In most cases I'm to positive, The wheels could be falling off and I'd be saying to myself "be grand" :D:D

Agree wholeheartedly though, the head is where it's at. It's what grinds out results when things are a bit shakey :)

    Friday 18/03/2016 7 miles @ 8:06

    Saturday 19/03/2016 20 miles @ 8:15

Had a bit of an opening so pulled the long run in a day early. Has 5-6 cans of guinness on friday night so was not to surprised to see the sweat appear after mile 1 :D:D

Went out intending in no faster than 8:30 pace, but again a bit of ill discipline had me ending in 8:15....
Last week was similar with a faster than intended pace, those small bits of ill discipline could bite me in the ass come the 10th :):)

Feeling good though, I'll do another long run next week, and then I'll pull the reigns in a bit before the 10th....

Should really organise some running gear... I've been on about it for months and still bought nothing... I'm going around in tatts the last few months :D:D

    Sunday 20/03/2016 6 mile @ 8:54

    Monday 21/03/2016 7 miles @ 8:28

    Tuesday 22/03/2016 7 miles @ 7:10

Sundays run was a gentle recovery run along the salthill coast, up by the canal, and then the return leg. Really enjoyed this even though the legs felt a small bit tender..

Mondays run was a non eventful 7. No drama...

Tuesdays 7 miler was a bit of a stride stretcher... Ok for first 2 mile, bit of heavy breathing miles 3-4, and settled into it with no bother after that :) (albeit with a bit more sweat on me ) :D:D:D

The list I have on the long finger is growing at an extraordinary rate.... I'm laughing about it now, but could be crying in 2-3 weeks time :):)

    Wednesday 23/03/2016 5 miles @ 8:35

    Thursday 24/03/2016 10 miles @ 7:09

    Friday 25/03/2016 11 miles @ 8:00

    Saturday 26/03/2016 7 miles @ 8:53

    Sunday 27/03/2016 20 miles @ 8:22 (8:40 pace, last 5 @ 7:30)

So, that the last long one for me, maybe a 12/13 next week, but I'm pulling back.

Still not nailing my colours to the mast target wise... Sensibility says start @ 3:15 pace and push on if able, Madmarty says 3:10... I'll probably decide an hour before kick off :D:D

Enjoyed the last few weeks, felt like I was really making some progress. More importantly, I've been enjoying the training a bit more :)

Was on google maps lately regarding the Rotterdam trip... Seems there's some smoke huts around my hotel, plus some interesting dancing venues.. Shame on them :D:D:D

Few casual runs to keep things ticking over. Actually found them a tougher than they should be, felt a bit sluggish. Not enough to be worried about though, so all good... Getting close now :)

Kick in the hole for this log.... (And for myself).....
I've been tipping away a small bit.
Nothing much of note apart from a 5k last Tuesday, just under 19:50.

Race #2 of the 5k series tomorrow in Craughwell.
Not sure how it will go as I've been bold and on the wine tonight but nothing major. Will give it stick anyways :)

Jazus, your back! I was starting to think you'd gotten a job in a window in Amsterdam :)

In all seriousness though, I do need to make some commitments regarding goals ect... I've been plodding along for far to long...

I've been just to casual over the last year, time to focus.
I'm going to have a good long think about the futureover the next week or two...
