Hi Guys - my order has been in this state since Sunday night on the uTrac page so I guess this means its been delivered to parcelmotel warehouse in Belfast?

    DUB Transfer manifest arrived 05AUG13/0000 TM=785999,ARRIVED=05AUG2013 00:00,DUBEDI

sounds like I got it just in time too seeing the other announcement made yesterday by flubit only allowing purchases from amazon!

    You did indeed.

Check Parcelforce for now with the DIR number. If it's working, then chances are that today is the day.

If so, check PM after 11. Don't worry if it's not there, just try again after 12, and then after 1. It usually gets there before noon but they have to then log it onto the system and that can take an hour or two with everything they'd have coming in.

Also check the Parcel Motel site tonight if you want to go get it. I didn't get a text from them until twenty past two in the morning, but when I went to the site, just under my balance about 10 O'Clock it told me that it was in the locker and the PIN code.

Did Flubit reply to you DECEiFER? Pretty sure if they don't revert their decision we'll see them falling off the radar as a company in the coming months.

We're a small part of their market, they said most people were using Amazon anyway.

From reading the comments on the blog and their Facebook it would appear not that many people agree that most of their offers come from Amazon though. On top of that, Amazon will ship most of their stock for free in the UK whereas Flubit have a standard charge for delivery no matter what it is which will wipe out any savings the offer may present.

argh wanted to order the Nexus 10 today. Looks like the flubit website home page has changed, won't let me paste in the "offer" waiting for a sign up code from them via email.

Anyone know what the options are ? Use something else or still order via flubit with this seller
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nexus+10+tablet&sprefix=nexus+10%2Caps%2C231

It's 45 stg dearer than the play store : ((

They will probably knock 10£ off the Amazon price and buy it direct from Google themselves. It will be interesting to see.

What's been said about Flubit on the last page. Until news comes in stating otherwise, forget about Flubit taking demands with Google Play and anywhere else besides Amazon as of this morning.

Ha! I was hoping for the same.

With Android device manager going live today we might have to wait another week :(

I wasn't aware they had a standard charge.

Ha, you're right. I just had a look on Adverts. €350 for an 8GB model and rejected a €300 offer. It's two months old, unused, and he said he bought it from Google Play so it's not as if he got ripped off. Not a hope!

    Here's the ad:
    http://www.adverts.ie/mobile-phones/nexus-4/2718543

I'll make a comment on it.
This guy is back and the device is still unsold. I tried to make another comment, a quick one to say "well obviously it's still available since you're charging €60 more than the €290 for the device and shipping" but I'm blacklisted from commenting on the ad and PM'ing him, haha.

"The advertiser has requested not to received any more comments from you. Your comment wasn't added."

"bertF has requested not to receive any PMs from you."

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! :pac:

I really hope he doesn't manage to sell it at that price, or for anything above €300.

Just thought I'd mention for anyone who's interested.

I might leave a comment saying the same.

EDIT - Left a comment "€350? The phone only costs €290? Are you adding €60 on because it is opened and 2 months old?"

I just got an email notifying me of your reply. Excellent stuff.

Thing is, I've looked at the listings. There's an 8GB going for €300. Genuinely the guy ordered two and just wants to get his costs back. He's returning it if he cannot get any takers as the best offer so far is €200. I wouldn't blame him for not taking it.

Yeah stuff like that is fair enough. I don't mind someone trying to make 20 euro or something just for the pain in the ass it is to get it from flubit but 60 is a joke.

I see now that your comment is deleted! But the price is reduced to €300

Excellent, lads, simply excellent! At least he'll have a shot of selling it now after all this time.

Google music All Access is here now, it's giving me strong hope of Google Devices here, opinions?

I mean, all we need now are Magazines and Movies/TV. At this rate, we'll have them in no time......or so I hope :D

    Well that isn't true

Still a really **** saving mind you, I won't be buying.

Unfortunately Flubbit have now decided to change their ordering process!

Starting last week you can only demand items from www.amazon.co.uk, so no more ordering Nexus devices the easy way :-(

The sticky should be removed as it's no longer relevant.

Apologies, I meant to come back and amend that, previously they had implemented the standard postage cost but removed it when they changed to Amazon.

I probably should have read back a page or two before posting this :-P
    Sorry!

But still we should have the sticky un-stickied as it will only confuse people.

I was thinking of amending it to concentrate on Amazon and Parcel Motel. At least you can get them cheap enough on Amazon now so not to feel burned. I could even just change the Google Play links bit over to Amazon links and continue to keep Flubit in the chain.

I'll get on it ASAP and I'll ask a mod to edit the post for me.

If you want expandable storage and a pretty decent camera, go with the S III. If you want a premium feeling phone with more raw power that runs stock Android and receives official updates very promptly, you know what to do. :)

I believe the N4 is getting a wee update for battery soon Deceifer - check this out :

    http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/08/20/nexus-4-getting-update-amidst-android-4-3-complaints/

Have to say my battery life has been awful since I got 4.3, think it was placebo thinking it was better at first, but now I nearly always have to charge during the day... :-(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭DECEiFER

Hopefully that update does address the issues but they don't appear confident that it will. Fingers crossed!

Funny that, My N4 has been a better on battery from the 4.3 update. At night i'm at least 30% now were I was less than 10% before. Perhaps the app/tool from qualcomm is helping too I guess.
