When are clubs opening up to visitors?

Interested to hear whether any clubs are open to visitors and when that will begin.

Not until the restrictions on more than 2 households meeting up are lifted by the govt

Non member clubs will be open.

Ballymascanlon is the only one I've seen so far, didn't even know there was a course there.

I was booked to play this evening but hurt my back in work last week so have to give it a miss!!!!

    Saturday for me.

For those playing Corballis, please don't take any divots out of the tee boxes or rough. I want them to be pristine for me when I get out.

Great to get out, if only for 9. lack of rain really showing, greens hard and fast for April, perfect conditions. Even bad drives running really well, chipping and putting very tricky if on wrong side of the hole, some change in conditions from the back half of last year. Running long irons up to green from bouncing short etc.

Got out for 9 this morning. Glorious weather.
Played like I had never held a golf club before!
    Loved every minute of it!!!

Typical, looks a bit hairy alright. Thought I'd be dodging the rain gear for my first round back

    9 holes this morning
    Shorts and t-shirt
    Bag on the back
    13 points
    Course was like Augusta

The most glorious 13 points I’ve ever shot in my life

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,540 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

10 holes, 2 pars... Gloriously sh1te golf all around and never happier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 932 ✭✭✭higster

18 holes. Course immaculate (about 6th tee time of the day), weather absolutely perfect (sunny warm and very little breeze), golf itself was completely different from pre **** down (driver was awful, now great, short game was excellent, now a cluster)...but was absolutely fantastic to get out.

Our club has a singles qualifying competition next weekend. Is that allowed? Not according to the Golf Ireland protocols, but maybe I've missed something.

Anyone know if the 9 hole in Marley Park is back open?

Yes. Once it's not called a competition. Clubs can run competitions in all but name at the moment. Also should be no promoting of results or presentation but everything else you associate with a competition is allowed.

It's in the FAQ document from Golf Ireland.
