Quite the contrast in temps South to North. At 11c the snow isn't really sticking in west Cork.....

To paraphrase 'get a room already', "hey, go make a snowman together". 😁

Epicly disgusting morning in Offaly. Can only hope Ballinalack weather conditions take hold here. Shocking conditions currently. Total waste of my 3 peaks tyres. Not impressed.

Heavy snow here in Longford, the ground is too warm though it's largely a slushy mess

This mornings drive, Mayo to Galway city. Snow all the way until Tuam. Then heavy rain. A lot of standing water on the M17 south. The ladder in the central reservation was almost a moment. Reported to Tuam Gardai hopefully they have removed it by now.

    East Sligo.

Woke to a small bit of snow on the ground here this morning, some sleet showers, it's now snowing properly but the ground is fairly wet so unlikely to stick unless it gets a lot heavier.

Photos from family NE Galway lying snow.

Wet snow in Leitrim. 0C. Strong wind. The sooner it goes the better. Utter muck.

The dogs took one look outside and said no thanks. Can't blame them.

... unless making snow angels, where it's part of the process.

  • Registered Users Posts: 78 ✭✭chilipepper

Technically if it’s still snowing you’re not turning your back to it

Mayo Roscommon border. We are quite high up. 140m ASL. Big slushy flakes. Love the sticky stuff cause it’s so pretty. Moved to Mayo last may from Wicklow Town. I honestly was shocked to discover last night that my altitude is the same as Laragh in the wicklow mountains so not surprising we got a few flakes! Delighted with meself and off today and everything.

Well done to all that got snow. Friends in Mayo sending me nice pics. Jealous.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Today winter delivers another round kick to the teeth. I just want this pathetic winter to end already. Next few days look miserable, cold and wet. I would rather have the 14C with dry conditions than this muck.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,151 ✭✭✭highdef

I said it was turning to sleet a while ago but it actually went from dinner plates to drier snow as my shoe marks in the snow have since filled in with fresh snow. It's quite light though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,291 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Some snow overnight.. Cold rain in center parcs now

    Yuck

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,094 ✭✭✭prunudo

I'm amazed Laragh is only 140m, only 40 higher than Newtownmountkennedy, every day a school day.

Oh and to keep ot, wet crappy day here. No snow in sight.
