    The whole notion of "covid parties" was inane last year. It still is, but in this case there's actually a perceived benefit to it.
    So now you have indoor hospitality still closed, young people having house parties anyway, and far from being concerned about catching Covid they'll see a benefit in doing so. It's beyond idiotic.

    The other thing is that despite all the warnings about the UK and Northern Ireland and Covid, this just makes NI a more attractive destination than the Republic. Encouraging people to travel, sit indoors in this supposedly much more dangerous environment, and bringing the virus back. I wouldn't be surprised if the next step is Garda checkpoints on the M1 to discourage that.

    Of course none of this matters. If this idiocy backfires and numbers go up as a result, NPHET just go "woo our models were correct and we were right all along"

    Communions and confirmations cant go ahead.

    Because 50 people at a wedding is infinitely safer than 2 parents and a child sitting in a chapel and said family playing on a bouncy castle with their other extended family members of which the adults will be mostly vaccinated and the kids will be under 12.

    Sitting in schools for months on end indoors, perfectly safe, bouncy castles f@ckin lethal for COVID

    Where the capacity is minimum 5k. So that's 500 people in 83,000 capacity Croke Park. Sounds reasonable.

    Its actually a reduction on the trial events theyve been running, was at a game with 1000 last Friday.

    Every working person in this country will have over €100k of national debt by the end of this year and that figure is climbing. As more businesses go bust the working population falls and the debt climbs.

    Meanwhile there are more people in NPHET sucking on the public tit than there are people in hospital with Covid.

    Wake up lads to what is bring done to this country.

    There's a match starting in less than an hour across the water.There will be slightly more than 500 there, plus there were a few more matches played elsewhere in Europe over the past few days with similar numbers.
    Someone is doing something wrong.

    Who knows. We've no roadmap other than "we plan to have a plan for the 19th July". There is no other planned date for outdoor activity beyond the 5th July and we got no clarity today.

    Depends they might say that the vaccinated can remove masks...Although then along comes some variant and all will be back wearing masks vaccine or not.


    who knows, some people might like there seat of power too much to allow it all to just filter back to normal.
