Pretty good Raw overall.

The pull apart for Lesnar/Lashley was cool. Rollins and Theory had a great match. The Trick or Street Fight and the lads as Chippendales (Chris Farley from SNL?) was fun. Roman did a great job handling the crowd, crazy to compare him to what he used to be and his rant up the ramp was intense and cool. The Johnny Gargano interview was a nice wrinkle as I think the Lumis story was starting to wear thin, not sure it fully adds up but still a good addition. Gargano being everyone in the re-enactment was gas and thought Byron has been great in the segments lately.

Wondering at this point who they could have for the OC, Nikki (Sanity theme lives!) really seemed like the best option with her history with Rhea too. Speaking of her match with Belair was okay but could have been better and at this point Damage Control really need something. They had great potential but there hasn't been much success to make them believable as threats, feels like this feud has been going on too long as well. Bliss seemed like she got tagged and was pissed in the tag match. Not sure how I feel about Iyo tapping and also being pinned. Think Bayley needs to win, the division needs a bit of a shake-up right now.

Shoutout to the security guard who leaped the barricade like he was in Cheltenham.

I'm all for surprise and that but it's a complete logic fail there from a booking sense.

Disappointing cash in by Theory but maybe its building toward ls something like 'oh it's a fake contract or it's only valid for world's championship etc'

Raw back to being utterly boring again, but I'm sure one of these HHH NXT returns will be the spark to bring the show to life, because writing a compelling wrestling show doesn't seem to be an option.

LOL at Theory though, can't wait for the slow burn losing streak gimmick, haven't had one of them in a while.

I absolutely get why they'd have Theory have an unsuccessful cash in. He's nowhere near ready for the world title, and so it makes sense to get the case off him.

But the manner he did it was so, so stupid. Even have it be a failed cash in and a humbling against Reigns. Losing to Reigns would achieve the same "needed a reality check, and to be built back up" story. Losing to an already shattered Rollins was a buying.

I suppose the mitigating factor is that Lashley came back and beat the tar out of Theory as well in their minds so it saves face a little?

On Raw being boring, it actually wasn't that bad - the crowd were dead sure but there were a couple of decent segments and matches.

Riddle involving himself in the Uso/New Day encounter was really unnecessary though. Presumably he's gonna be on team not Bloodline with New Day for WarGames. I'd like to see Drew and Lashley added there to that trio, because if they toss in a hodge podge of eg Madcap Moss and Mustafa Ali it will be terrible.

The women's segment was odd, they fought then Bianca made the challenge then fought again which was stupid. As for that "match" between Dana and Nikki, please GOD don't put Dana freaking Brooke inside War Games! They're gonna do it though aren't they....

I actually quite liked that Raw.

That opening promo with Usos/New Day was intense and the 6 man was good too. Also liked Io and Asuka's Japanese argument (translation is gas). Wondering who else is going to join Team Damage Control. I enjoyed the 24/7 title but as it got less emphasis and specialised segments it became uninteresting so dumping it is fine by me. I really like Mia Yim and felt she was super underrated in NXT so I think she's a good pick-up even if her pairing with the OC is odd, I think her and Rhea could be great though.

Things I'm mixed on; not sure about the Gargano/Miz story right now, not sure where it goes except back to square one based on that segment. As for the Theory failed cash-in. I see both sides, I think Theory was overpushed under Vince but I don't know if this was the way to have him lose the cash-in. He was never going to get one over Roman so I guess it makes the US title feel a bit more important. Makes him look dumb and can see people being unhappy. I do like it though IF they go the route I think they're going. Everyone Austin has encountered since Vince left has basically said he's not safe anymore, that his meal ticket is gone. If this leads to him finding who he is long term and having to develop a bit more character it could be interesting. I dunno, how I feel on it tbh.

I enjoyed that Raw.

Mia seems a good opponent for Rhea. though never understood why they couldn't have the guys fight back. If I remember correctly it's because they can't show men hitting women is okay to do. But it works the other way as well and women hitting men isn't good and normalising that is just as bad.

Not sure who else will join the teams, but maybe someone from Smackdown who also have a problem with Damage Ctrl.
