Barr is trending thanks to a car crash of an interview he gave. Here's one of the highlights

He also pretended he didn't know it was illegal to vote twice and couldn't provide any evidence of systemic voter fraud during the interview. Some AG he is.

Its kind of President Trump to advise U.S voters to cast their vote twice, once by mail and the second time in person at voting centres. He probably wants them to be sure their votes get to where it counts. Except for the itty-bitty snag of just one vote being one's legal entitlement in presidential elections under U.S law. One has to ask if he ran his thoughts past anyone with legal expertise. Another distraction which his press secretary will doubtless be able to explain away.

It is this thing of presume the other side are cheating, therefore we are justified in cheating just to level the playing field.
Lance Armstrong is running the trump campaign.

Trump telling voters to vote twice

    https://r.internet.apps.samsung.com/refer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F&sv=5&ui=&iv=12.1.2.5&mo=SM-J330FN&oc=VDI&cc=IE&ed=id=1879&fr=popup

Any logic here?Is he trying to bring mail in voting into discredit so as to promote his chances of winning somehow in November?

He's just breaking the law and encouraging voters to do the same. It's all part of the same agenda he's been pushing along with his supporters and enablers that the election will be rigged and that there is no way Trump will lose other than by the election being rigged. It's unbelievable that the President of the United States is openly encouraging people to commit voter fraud. It's banana republic level stuff. If the election is close and Biden wins narrowly then there is a strong possibility that armed Trump supporters will take to the streets.

It's fascinating to watch in a way to see one man and his enablers undermining the US electoral system and tradition to the degree they are doing it.

Beneath Banana Republic level at this stage

If they do take the the streets in a violent way ,I feel they (and we) will be the losers.

He's a perfect poster boy for the era of Trump. Corrupt, generally clueless, and as slimy as seaweed. Embarrassing.

He is absolutely not that..The other descriptions are spot on, but Barr knows EXACTLY what he is doing.

    Nothing clueless about him whatsoever.

Forgive my bad wording. I totally agree!

McEnaney started her press conference today by announcing that they had a video of Pelosi entering a salon and would be playing it on loop “just so everyone can see that”. It really is infantile stuff.

    It's all they've got left.

They can't run on Trumps record because it's awful
They can't run on a Policy Agenda because they don't have one
They tried to run on "Law & Order" and it hasn't worked

All they've got are school yards taunts and blatant attempts at Election fraud.

She should show 2000 people sitting close together on the white house lawn with virtually no masks.

She's doing a fantastic job. Really thought her speech at the RNC last week was amazing.

Very refreshing take for a new account to have.

Can you give us more insight as to why it was amazing. More detail just want to make sure I understand the amazing parts

That's not a news conference... It's a blatant (and pathetically childish) piece of electioneering propaganda paid for by US taxpayers of ALL parties.

Frankly, the White House Press Corps are fully complicit in this blatant electioneering and need to stop facilitating it!

They ought to have simply walked out en masse in front of live cameras as soon as she pulled this pathetic, immature stunt!

Well he’s right she is good at her job, her ability to not answer the question she was asked is phenomenal.

Or the super spreader Sturgis rally where attendance was encouraged by a Republican governor.

A judge in the civil asset valuations case that New York AG Leticia James has filed against The Trump Organisation, Eric Trump and others has told lawyers for the Trumps that they must answer in court on Sept 23rd as to why they are refusing to answer the AGs subpoenas.

This is separate from the Cy Vance case that is seeking Trump's tax returns.

Well if he hadn't lost the military vote already, that will seal it. Disgusting.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/09/trump-americans-who-died-at-war-are-losers-and-suckers/615997/

I just read that Atlantic article and how any veterans can support this guy when he calls WW1 veterans losers I’ll never know but they did in 2016. He also calls the late president George HW bush a loser for getting shot down.
Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.
When McCain died, in August 2018, Trump told his senior staff, according to three sources with direct knowledge of this event, “We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral,” and he became furious, according to witnesses, when he saw flags lowered to half-staff. “What the **** are we doing that for? Guy was a ****ing loser,” the president told aides. Trump was not invited to McCain’s funeral. (These sources, and others quoted in this article, spoke on condition of anonymity. White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany did not respond to email and telephone requests for comment.)

Calling Bush a loser for being shot down during a war when the only thing he's ever commandeered himself is a golf caddy. Brilliant!

There is also the itty-bitty snag that in North Corolina it's illegal
    (7) For any person with intent to commit a fraud to register or vote at more than one precinct or more than one time, or to induce another to do so

And the Donald is quite guilty of the latter. The original tweet didn't come with a full retraction.

Pretending it was telling people to go to the polling station to check their vote doesn't count because many postal votes will still be in transit.

But hey do what the narcissist tells you because a criminal record will really make it easier to vote next time. As anyone who remembers the illegal tricks used in Florida in the past will know. Hint a narcissist won't shed any tears for you.

I didnt think I would ever dislike anyone in US politics more than Dick Cheney but Bill Barr is fast approaching those kind of feelings for me.

I saw Kayleighs speech and it was far from amazing, for someone so used to public speaking I thought she would give a good speech. But instead it was some rambling story about her getting breast cancer and how Trump called her while she was in hospital to wish her well (she can ad herself to Gislaine Maxwell in that respect). Kayleighs whole spiel was that only people like her see the real Donald Trump and if only voters could see what she sees then they would realise that Trump is a real kind caring soul who is just a big teddy bear at heart. That was about the entire substance of her speech, it was awful stuff from someone who is a professional orator.

I've been minded for a year or so that his German grand-daddy must have had a part in his upbringing, and definitely that of his Dad, which may have played a part in his attitude towards war and staying out of it as a good policy. His question, asked as U.S president, "who were the good guys" asked at the WW1 U.S graveyard commemoration may be a hangover from his upbringing and is best left to the families of those interred there to pursue.

Christ, I read this and hoped it was some sort of joke...

I simply cannot understand how ANY self-respecting serving or retired Military personnel can support Trump as a person - obviously serving personnel must obey orders from him in his capacity as their CIC-.

Trump's disdain for military personnel and their sacrifices is genetically ingrained in him. In his family tree, not a single male Trump has EVER served in the military, in ANY capacity. Genetically ingrained cowardice based on selfishness and belief that fighting and dying for one's country is never their duty, but is always someone else's. How can ANY honourable military man or woman vote for such an excuse for a man who has trashed true heroes and continues to do so for naked personal benefit?

    ****ing sickening!
