What happens to the scrapings off the chicken nugget factory floor

    Do they get dumped

Most of these “processing” plants don’t let anything go to waste, those scrapping a probably end up in dog food or some sort of health “supplement” or alternative medicine pills.

Lunch in the chicken factory. They don’t leave a morsel.

I hear they filter the poop in the canteen toilets for chicken.

Anything that gets through the filter goes back to the meat factory

Havent had a chicken fillet roll in ages, must sort that soon. Though I think I prefer the bread to ingredients ratio you get from wraps. Supervalue on Aston Quay do nice big 12 inch sized wraps. There used to be a Portugese woman working there with hands like shovels and not a care in the world for portion control, her wraps were the stuff of legend.

Got a great giggle from this guy who spammed a rather up its self restaurant and food review site with reviews of chicken fillet roles from various spars.

I wonder what the cost price is of chicken fillets for the rolls. Probably something mad like 30c or 40c each

Horrible things, generally made with manky chicken on nearly stale rolls. Haven't had one in years. I'm told they are €4.50 in local shop or for €5 you can pick up a coke with it

Dunno what shop you are buying them at but the one thing you couldn't say about nearly any chicken roll in a shop like a Spar or a Centra is that the bread is stale. Always crispy and freshly baked in my experience. Definitely not a fair criticism to lay generally about chicken rolls.

Get one every 2-3 weeks. I like the soft bread rolls preferably brown. Mayonnaise, coleslaw, some mixed salad as well as pineapple with the chicken fillet. You generally only get the pineapple at places that do pizza.

I actually miss chicken rolls living abroad. Butter, spicy fillet, peppers, stuffing.

Or peppers and sweet chilli sauce.

And no matter what, cheese. Plenty of it.

And if they happen to be the kind of place that will toast it, well then they've made a friend in me. Works better in a wrap if you're toasting it.

Honestly couldn't give a sh1te if they're scraping the ingredients for it off the ocean floor and dipping it in nuclear waste to cook it, it's delicious.

Anyone who puts that crap on a chicken roll needs to be beaten with a pineapple

Upper crust in T1 Dublin Airport do a nice Katsu chicken fillet roll with Asian slaw. €5.95. Nice but €6 is steep.

    FYP

Awful stuff, shouldn’t be let near any meal, pizza or sandwich etc.

I actually couldn't agree more, I mean it's clearly not meant for human consumption - it tastes like shıte

Dont pay it, lads. They only charge what us fools are willing to pay. Remember 2008/2009, during the crash? I remember paying €2 for a roll in dublin city centre in the centra near stephens green. All because we stopped handing out money hand over fist

Good school memories for me, that little shop.

It’s Boards, 25 pages in. We’ve had that about 6 times already. There’s nothing new in it anyway, you either like them or you don’t

I worked in one for years, the best known brand. And I still eat it to this day.
