The greens are all about rearranging the furniture while the titanic sinks. When we hit the iceberg it wont matter a **** if it's powered by coal, turf or lithium batteries.

One off rural housing is unsustainable and a lot of rural development will have to be removed and rewilded and recycled going forward. A lot of rural roads will have to be rewilded too guys, they are simply not sustainable and there will be no need for them.

Calm gentlemen. Trump is just your average flakey chancer. A kind of florescent Charlie Haughy. Not Satan.

There is climate change but I dont need a disturbed teenager bunkong off school on a $10,000,0000 yacht to explain it to me

Afraid to say anything about the Greens as Mod gave me a warning and took down my post yesterday complaining about the ridiculous Green Love In supplement with the Irish Times. There are some opinions you are not entitled to

Something very curious about people who are solely focused on the here and now like the future is some magical thing in an alternate universe.

Her demands are simple btw, 'Listen to the science'.

I'm lost as to why you consider me to be 'soley focused' on the here & now ?

Does this imply some form of control fixation, whereby one directs all their energies into plotting and manipulating the direction they wish to take,or perhaps it's more to do with the direction they require everybody else to take ?

At this point in time Ms Thunberg's demands ( an illustrative use of terminology in itself) to 'Listen to the Science' do not appear to involve doing anything other than Listening to,and unquestioningly accepting Her chosen Scientific conclusions.

Equally,it is now notable that Ms Thumberg is aligning her 'brand' with the more active NGO and Billionaire Philantrophic elements in the field.

Listening to the Science, may well be as simple as you imply, however I would suggest that listening to all of it,considering all of it,and then devising and implementing reasonable and widespread future plans will require a small bit more than repeating a mantra largely designed to undermine the very basis of Scientific discourse...as in My way or...NO WAY ?

An accurate school report (if one were available) might read...."Could do better" ....

I suspect that most of the money came from themselves or perhaps her grandfather, all of which had careers that would have been well paid.

The egg chair is a pretty common design so finding an outlandishly expensive one doesn't mean that's the one in the image, it could be decades old for all any of us know... But sure push the old conspiracies...

While ignoring the $4,500 chair in the background
The family are con men that have hit the jackpot, making millions, laughing at how easily they have been able to manipulate and dupe a huge portion of the population into believing the nobility of their campaign.

Ah that's adorable-a little girl with pigtails sitting on her mother's lap. How old is she? 7 or 8?

When Swedish parents now are keeping their kids at home during deadly COVID they are threatened with fines because of "breaking school attendance".

When Greta was skipping school for weeks/months then she was not.

One rule for regular people, one rule for celeb's kids..

Thats utter shyte, rural Ireland has existed for thousands of years, communist crap with dormitories housing hundreds is the reason that the Green party won't exist in 10 years. The only thing unsustainable is dyed haired middle-aged yuppies who still live off their parents and preach at everyone else.

Sorry but Greta is so last year. But anytime now I expect Sinead O Connor to start telling of her terrible life on the plantations.

Incidentally I used drink in The Plantation Bar in Alperton London occasionally in the 80s.
Maybe we were all racists then.

Remember on Big Brother years ago there was an albino black man, as white as Greta there... But he was blind aswell, so he had no concept of colour anyway

I can imagine Greta’s temper tantrums are off the scale now that the media have discarded her.

As you suggest, the Media have so much awfulness and negativity currently available to them, all of which can be freely availed of,that the tightly managed and directed Thunberg machine can safely be left aside.

However,I would strongly suspect that the Policy & Decision makers of Thunberg Inc are currently hard at work on their next move.

They have to be,as the various 'Not for Profit's' who have put considerable resources into the Greta Thunberg image, will all want something from their interactions, not monetary perhaps, but certainly a Payback of some form.

There's no such thing as a Free Lunch....;)

All the Greta bandwagoners are going mental now that they are missing out on the Leaving Cert trips to Crete and Corfu. At least they have the BLM crack to amuse them for a while.
Maybe even buy some of those lovely "I can't breathe" T Shirts being produced in the sweatshops of Indonesia by12 year olds.
