So we have very mixed messages over this coming weekend? should we be expecting much rainfall? Met Eireann has no rain forecast whatsoever for Mallow at the moment but their online radar and GFS Charts clearly show rain forecast.. im lost :)

Very hard to call Sunday but doesn't look like much away from the West coast.

I have heard 2 separate farmers today saying they thought there was an inch of rain on the way for the weekend here in N.Cork...

Isn't looking like this rain is materialising in Cork at least. Overcast but still hot.

It's been overcast here all day with a tiny sprinkling of rain. The temperature has only reached 18.9C. It's the coldest day since the last day it rained, about three weeks ago.

temperature here peaked at 19C around lunchtime, back down to 18C now, making today the coolest day since before the warm spell started. Great run of 21C+ temperatures between 23th June and 10th July.

current temperatures across Ireland and the UK.

    http://www.meteociel.fr/observations-meteo/temperatures.php?region=uk

The lower yellow and creme colours over Northern Ireland and eastern coastal Leinster counties indicating the cool and cloudy conditions.

This has been slowly edging south westwards all day confining the orange, warmer values into the south-west as the day has gone on.

I am hoping that tomorrow temperatures may recover slightly over the greater Dublin region and eastern coastal counties. Hopefully will push 20C+ tomorrow. Should have no problem exceeding 20C Friday and Saturday and maybe Sunday.

Its a bit of a relief here in Dublin to have a cooler day . Got floors cleaned and jobs done while it was easier to move !

Day 18 here too of the heatwave. I thought it might end today, but no, another day over 25C in Kilkenny.

Was in Carlow/KK and south Kildare outdoors today- the sun was absolutely scorching at times again- so much for "cooler" today!

Actually quite cool here relatively speaking, fair bit of cloud billowing up this morning (even showery looking for about 10 seconds!) now it's mid-height stratocumulus.

light rain/drizzle here now, starting to wet surfaces.

dark clouds and cool, temperature down to 17C now.

Almost chilly enough to put on a jumper.

Dunsany should record the drizzle here now which brings the 20 day drought to an end here.

Warm and Humid today with quiet a lot of cloud about at times but also warm sunshine. Max Temp 23.7c. I can’t see much rain falling here in the next week to 10 days so no relief to drought conditions in the South East

It's just been overcast here in Glasnevin today. I felt the odd drop of rain but that's all. It's 17.7C now. The was 19.0C, the first sub-20 high in weeks. This was the first day I've worn long sleeves in a good while. I persevered with the shorts though.

Thunder rumbling across Waterford city right now.

In Kilkenny and sky towards Wexford was jet black an hour ago. Any rain with it?

The snow shield was well and truly breached back at the beginning of March so it`s only a matter of time before this one fails as well.

Cloud shield ran out of fuel around tea time, I think someone has gone and topped it up as cloud is breaking up again.

    I’m cold!!! :(

tomorrow should be the start of an improvement in temperatures again, especially areas that were cool today. Most of the northern half of the country failed to get above 18C today, most places should see 20C or above tomorrow.

Was in Cork today at Fota wildlife park, cloud lessened as the day went on and got quite warm in the afternoon ( Cork Airport 22.6C ). The Giraffes seemed to be enjoying the heat :) . Like a lot of places could do with a good drop of rain.

Back in Kerry got a high Temp reading of 21.7C

cool striated skies today and s o still the midges are a cloud... Yesterday there was a sweet wild wind. Took the dog out and a fine walk in the breeze. Blackberries are green. We need rain to fill them out

Dunsany reported 0mm of rainfall yesterday (at least in the 7am yesterday's weather reports; could change) and it's not 'til daily rainfall total reaches at least 0.3mm that a meteorological absolute drought is over.

0 hours of sun at Dublin Airport all day yesterday, been a long time of such a day.
