Just so folks know, I am chasing up Creed availability - Aventus in particular - on a daily basis and there is a definite squeeze on. I've literally offered to pay above asking price for Aventus at this stage (AKA bribe the supplier!) with no joy. I've also had a number of confirmed orders cancelled when the supplier couldn't get stock. I've ordered / backordered a few bits now in the hope of having these available later at current prices but I think many Creeds - if even available - will be going up in price unfortunately. First victim is the current Aventus for Her split which I've had to bump up by a fiver as I can only get 250ml flacons (which cost more per ml) after my 500ml order was cancelled. Payment requests for this going out once shipping to me confirmed - today hopefully.

Summer scents email has gone out to previous buyers - I'll be getting the list on here once I have it formatted properly (which takes ages) - tonight or tomorrow I'd say.

Important note re Aventus and other Creeds
There is a Europe wide shortage of Aventus (particularly) and other Creeds (in 500ml flacons) due to both a fire at a supplier factory, and an apparent attempt by Creed to raise prices in cheaper markets. I cannot guarantee availability timeframes for these but will update when I know more.

A fragrance legend, this is a classic man’s scent. Great for summer but works well year round too. Comes in quite a few strengths – this is the mid table EdT, often considered the best. Note this fragrance is different from Dior’s much more recent Sauvage (the one with the Johnny Depp ads). RRP €64 / 50ml.

Eau de Soleil Blanc – **in hand**
A recent addition from Tom Ford, this is a lighter version of Soleil Blanc, with a few additions – so expect something sunscreen-y, with some citrus. Unisex. I only have one bottle of this currently but can get more if the demand is there. RRP €99 / 50ml.

It’s named Lemon Line, but Lemon Lime may have been more accurate as this features elements of both citrus fruits, with a bit of sweetness. Good performance, and suitable for men or women. RRP ~€92 / 60ml. One bottle available.

Opus 1870 – **in hand**
One of Penhaglion’s highest rated fragrances, this retains some classic ‘barbershop’, but is lighter than most of their offerings. One bottle available.

No summer freshies here! These fragrances are all legendary scents from the decade of the male powerhouse frag – the 1980s. Subtle be damned, these picks are all unashamed in their power - no doubt Gordon Gekko would have these in his collection. So slick back that hair and stick on reruns of Miami Vice, it’s the 80s again!

Guy Laroche – Drakkar Noir. Legendary or notorious depending on your viewpoint, this was a massive hit in the 80s.
Jacques Bogart – One Man Show. Supposedly the ‘powerhouse’s powerhouse’. Apply with caution.....
Caron - Yatagan. A good hit of dill, giving it an Oud Wood touch.

ETAT LIBRE d'ORANGE


Vierges et Toreros – open split
ELO are a quirky French house – this scent is generally described as leathery but I don’t get that at all. To me, it’s a very creamy, vaguely tropical smell. Good stuff! RRP €85 / 50ml.

Creed's very first masculine scent, dating back to the 70s. Now discontinued, but I've sourced another bottle. Old school, but not in a dry, barbershop, way; quite soapy but also a bit sweet and fruity - if this was a movie, it'd be Boogie Nights. 'Only' an Eau de Toilette but actually quite powerful - go easy on the trigger.

Mancera: Aoud Blue Notes *in hand*


“Opens with a citrusy union of bergamot, mandarin and Calabrian lemon, completed with fruity and green notes. OK, have you down for the Opus. Bit of interest in the Eau de Soleil Blanc so I might do another split - give me a few days to get a few other bits sorted and we'll see where we are.

VIW - I think it's great. It's extremely 'tropical' - a very happy fragrance. However, while they're not exactly the same, having both that and the TF Eau de Soleil Blanc would be overkill I think - they both tread very similar water.....

I can get it no problem but I don't see it being a viable split TBH - did a bottle of it before and it languished for a while (would have dropped it only I really wanted to split it). Pity, as it's really good. Actually I sampled another Heeley frag the other day - Menthe Fraiche.....thought it was brilliant, and not the total mint bomb I expected.

I'm surprised that the Sel Marin isn't a goer, perhaps if there's a few others on here wanting it they may shout?
I'm not familiar with the Menthe fraiche, but if it's something you're going to carry I'd be in

If enough peeps want it, it'll be done! Menthe Fraiche: I'm vaguely planning to do it if I clear out most of the stuff I have in hand at the moment, although there's a fair bit to go yet.

Aventus
I'm cautiously optimistic that I will have - some at least - Aventus within the next two weeks (ETA to me early June). Expected price of a 50ml split will be €75 - an unfortunately necessary rise. As of yet, I won't be getting a huge amount in as I have to jump through some rather awkward hoops to actually get the stuff!
