    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
Poor week last week with just winning bet from 3. Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below 3 bets!

    Cabinteely -v- Wexford Friday 7.45pm
Cabo's home form has been steady, and prove a difficult team to beat on home turf. Before last weeks loss against they had Also been on a good run with wins over Athlone, Shels and a draw against promotion chasing UCD. They were winning that game 3-1 until they had 2 sent off. The two reds had bigger implications last week as they were suspended against a very much inform Waterford team, although they had their share of chances and could have got back into the game after a slow start with a Good period each side of half time.
Wexford on the other hand are in crisis mode. Long serving goalkeeper and captain Graham Doyle has retired this week, Lee Duffy has left and Craig Wall is out for the season leaving the Ferrycarrig outfit tight for numbers again. An opening day draw away to Cobh remains Wexfords only point on the road this campaign and with the thin squad coupled with Cabo having returning players from suspension we see this trend continuing. Wexford have still won just one of their League matches so far this season with 16 games gone.

Cabinteely -0.75 Asian (GENERAL) @ 1.75 MEDIUM STAKE

Dundalk -v- Finn Harps Friday 8pm
This one is quite straightforward here. There is a massive gulf in class between the two teams here.
Dundalk have started to show their true potential and are have been playing well in recent game with the exception of when they got outclassed by Cork , they are coming off the back of a 6-0 away to rivals Drogheda which will be a huge morale boost. The league is well and truly over but Dundalk still need to keep on winning to make sure they secure Europe again this season so every game is still important for them.
Harps have picked up some decent wins against Pats & Limerick in their last 5 at home, Harps have always been quite a solid team at home and very weak away from home. So I wouldn't pay to much notice too their recent home wins.
With Harps away too a Dundalk team who have found their scoring boots this game should be one way traffic. As said the gulf of class is very big and with Harps away from home we can easily see Dundalk racking up a few goals here an winning easy

Dundalk -1.75 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.70 SMALL STAKE

Shamrock Rovers -v- Drogheda Friday 8pm
Shamrock Rovers host struggling Drogheda who come into this on the back of a 6-0 mauling by local rivals Dundalk last week. Rovers come into this on the back of a hard fought win in Donegal last week, a game they could have won by a couple more going by the highlights. Rovers have their Europa league games coming up next week so will be looking to get momentum up while also keeping their chase for European football in the League up.
Rovers recent home form reads 5 wins and 2 draws, managing two clean sheets.
Drogheda have lost 3 and drawn 3 in their last 6 - while not managing to score once but conceding 13.

Shamrock Rovers -1.25 AH (GENERAL) @ 1.90 SMALL STAKE

Anybody have a list of the outright winner odds from just before the season started?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,844 ✭✭✭✭PopePalpatine

You can find them here, just roll your mouse over the current odds to see the odds history from that bookie. Cork started out @5/2 with Bet365.

Oddschecker also offer a similar service, and you can see here that PP offered 11/4 for Cork at the start of the season.

Dundalk, Limerick and Waterford 5/1 for Extratime.ie tonight. It seems grand on paper to me but knowing that tipster some team will have a stinker for him and make him lose his bet again tonight.

The lad has won once in 19 bets. Surely there is a better tipster willing to do a weekly column? There is a couple of lads on here who post decent previews in the irish leagues and can pick a winner.

The next best odds are offered by 188Bet @4.38/1, is that treble really worth that extra .62? Granted, it's more like a double with Dundalk in it.

EDIT: 1 win in 19? No wonder Paddy's letting him make those trebles!

Backed it a couple of times but picked out the 1 team that would let it down and they did.
    Looks ,like Waterford tonight.

4 of the 5 games last Friday were over 2.5

10 on the overs at 22/1 on pp for added interest.

Also taking city and rovers double at 13/10
Why are we here, just to suffer?

Full steam ahead I think. Don't think players will be rested, they had their 2 weeks off already.
City have a fairly decent record in Derry, although the match is not actually in the brandywell.

    City and over 2.5 8/5 :)
City win btts 13/5 :) take my fancy

    Loi accum
City, Dundalk, Rovers, Bray dnb, over 2.5 in bohs game nearly 9/1

    City win 2-1
1 Bohs or Sligo goal short for my accum.

That goal short for the accum also messed up the 22/1!!!

    City and Rovers win :)

Want to back Cobh but we're so unpredictable this season!

    Like Limerick and BTTS!

Its actually because shels came back to win the last day that I am more confident in Cobh. Can't see lightning striking twice and all that.

Forgot to post this, I had
    Dundalk -1,
    Rovers to win,
    Derry/Cork Btts,
    Cabo dnb.
    3.22

    Cabinteely let me down sadly.

Prices are understandably low, so will wait and hope for a draw at ht and hit Dundalk-1 and maybe -2 then.
I seem to remember Dundalk pushing on in the second half of a few games.

Approaching ht 1-0 So a free 10 bet on 4-0 at 9/1 will do for interest

Watching a stream and they haven't looked up to much. Should excel in the 2nd half like against Harps though.

Just 2-0 for Dundalk, thought they would have scored more.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,236 ✭✭✭joeysoap

If you took -2 you were robbed by a very dubious off side. Hope they show it tonight on SR. Dundalk made 4 changes from the last two matches.

    ***LEAGUE OF IRELAND BETS***
Mediocre week last week with just 1 winning bet and 1 half win from 3. Myself, Aidan, Graeme and Alan have discussed and are happy with the below 2 bets!

    Drogheda -v- Limerick Friday 7.45pm
Only 7 points separate these two sides but realistically Drogheda are in a bad ways with 4 losses and 5 draws in their last 9 games - failing to score in 6 of these. This week won't be any easier with the below team news and their current rut.
Limerick are hit and miss this season, but their manager is focusing on tightening their defense after throwing away a 2-0 lead against St. Pats last week. Limerick brushed Drogheda aside 3-0 back in April and look to reproduce that in United Park this time around.
In team news for Drogheda, forwards Ryan Masterson and Stephen Elliott will require late fitness tests having been substituted through injury against Shamrock Rovers last week.Thomas Byrne misses out once again through suspension. With Gareth McCaffrey departing Drogs last month and Killian Brennan & Marc Griffin leaving Drogs last week they are going to struggle for attacking up front.
Killian Brennan went on a Facebook rant stating that Assistant Manager John Gill was to blame for players being unhappy and leaving due to his treatment of players.
Limerick have a fully-fit squad to choose from for the long trip north, with the exception of young defender Barry Cotter (knee). Fellow centre-half Tony Whitehead (dead leg) comes back into contention having missed out through injury last weekend.

Limerick -0.5 Asian or WIN (GENERAL) @ 1.95 SMALL STAKE

St. Pats -v- Galway Friday 7.45pm
Bottom of the table clash tomorrow where 11th place Pats play host to 12th(last) place Galway. This game is the definition of a 6 pointer for both teams. With both teams sitting in the relegation zone, a win depending on other results for either team will lift them out of the the relegation zone.
Pats are the better team on paper here, but this season they have been so hot & cold, nothing is clicking at all for them. Even in games they control they are failing to grind out wins like a lot of the teams in the bottom half. Pats are coming off the back of a gutsy performance away to Limerick, going 2 goals down and coming back in the second half to grab a draw. This may be the bit of confidence boost that Pats need to spur them on.
Galway who have also been dire this season go into this game needing a win as much as Pats, Both teams will be giving this fixture their all, but with both teams on their day which they will be tomorrow Pats take this fixture all day long especially at home. A loss here could possibly see Pats manager loose his job as it will put them bottom of the table, this adds even more incentive for pats to go out and win.
With the players pats have they should in no way be fighting relegation and if they pick up a win here they should string a few together and move on up the table too where they belong

Pats -0.5 Asian or WIN (GENERAL) @ 2.00 SMALL STAKE

Extratime treble of Dundalk, Limerick and UCD to win at 6/1.

Bray will probably be the team to destroy it this week.
