    UK prices as follows.

Base price £42,400. Luxury Car Tax £1,600. Total £44,000.

Hire Purchase (no PCP available) is £710/month, plus luxury car tax from year 2.

This info does not match Tesla UK website. Where did you get it?

Damn! I noticed something funny about the dates alright, but it looked like it was live when I came across it on YT by accident. I saw the original launch live alright last year.

There was a live launch yesterday around 11 or noon our time, they landed all three rockets which they had not managed to do before.

Just watched the Flavin video, and there's someone called cros13 (;)) posted that it'll start at €44k.

cros has always seemed to have his finger on the pulse.

UK price is £38,900 including £3500 grant
Price before grant is then £42,400
    Price without VAT is then £42,400 / 1.2 = £35,333
Pre VAT UK price in Euro = £35,333/.85 = €41568...This is about €2000 more than pre tax prices in other euro countries :-(

    Irish price would be approx
    €41,568 * 1.23 (VAT) * 1.14(VRT) - 5000(VRT rebate) - 5000( grant )

Expect we are looking at around €48,200 and possibly additional delivery costs from UK to Ireland....The €49K numbers mentioned yesterday look real.

    I'm out!

Its terribly sad cause VW, Nissan, Hyundai etc can continue to charge what they like now

Model 3 was supposed to be a market changer, its done the bloody opposite now

Fair play to the lads who bought Ioniq, Leaf40, eGolf etc over the last few years ye got that one bang on, Ioniq on the road for 25k was especially savage value

Waiting on that clown Musk was a huge mistake

It seems the $35 Tesla becomes a $55 Tesla here, based on above calculations plus a small amount for UK/IE transport/delivery.

    44k eur= 37,823
30k gbp = 33k with present exchange rates

So a different of 4,800 GBP

but is that for the SR or SR+?

Good point, wonder if you could change that on the fly - -ie if you went to France for example on Holiday, wonder how that would work driving on the other side of the road

SR is only available by request, not online.

That puts the standard range plus around the same price as a UK spec 64kwh Kona? That's not too bad....

So his 30k price at the time was more or less right as the exchange rate has changed.

Not exactly. Again you are not quoting like for like.

The $35k M3 was the standard Version.
What you are quoting at 55k is the Plus version.

So what does the standard version come out as using similar calculations?

Not sure as its an order you cannot do online, same as in the US. You have to call to a dealership to order it.

With the Long Range premium at £47k that will have to hit used Model S prices, especially the pre-face lift models

On the hyundai UK website its 38k for the top spec 64kwh. 32k is the 40kwh version I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,958 ✭✭✭✭Shefwedfan

So the cheapest Tesla available on website is 38k UKP? correct?

He was. Considering there is now £1k less incentives and the £2k Autopilot option is now standard.
