when it loses the data signal (such as if im in a remote area) it wont be able to find this signal again, even if im in an urban area again, without restarting the phone. Anyone have any idea why this is?

Yes I have experienced this every now and again since I bought the phone back in February. What resolves it for me is if I turn on 'airplane mode' and then a few seconds later I turn it off. The phone usually manages to find data signal then.

Am thinking of picking up a second-hand opx. Have my eye on a used perfect condition one for 150.

My very first smartphone had a oled screen which I loved but I found that white text looked very blurry and grainy especially when scrolling on the black background. Is this issue resolved with a 1080p res ?

How is the sound from the headphone jack? As long as it's okay I'm good. I'll prolly install viper4android anyaway.

I hate phone protectors and cases and will never ever use them. Is this the type of phone that picks up scratches easily even if you don't drop it ?

I've had mine for over a year now and overall I'm delighted with it. The screen quality is excellent to my mind. The audio while nothing special is adequate-it hasn't been an issue for me at least. The phone has performed flawlessly. I havent had any issues e.g. glitches and it hasn't slowed down even a bit which is fantastic. I would definitely get a case if I were you. The phone is very prone to scratches and I cracked the glass on the back in a matter of weeks! I recently bought a flip case from oneplus which is excellent-wish I'd had it from the start. Overall, for the price paid this has been a brilliant phone. I'll try to get another year out of it and then upgrade to the oneplus 3t.

110% agree with Stanley... And mine's just passed it's first birthday too! Phone came with a free clear soft silicone case when I ordered it.

I would also recommend this phone, screen quality is excellent and audio is fine.
With the phone having an all glass body i would definately recommend getting a case

I got a very slim case on ebay for mine, only adds a few mm to the size and keeps it protected from scratches etc. Only problem I have with the phone is the FM radio part is crap but everything else is great.

I've had a Oneplus X for 9 months or so and was very happy, other than some problems picking up the data signal as noted by another poster above. However, the screen developed a fault without having been subject to any obvious trauma. This cost €83 to repair. I had a screen protector and a slimline case, but I would be concerned that a slimline case would stop scratches but not shock, so I've sent off for a more rubbery one, less elegant perhaps, but more impact protection.

Dropped my OPX last night, screen cracked in the corner, disaster!! :( I'm fuming over it, love this phone, can't fault in anyway for my day to day use.

Did anyone manage to find somewhere in Dublin to repair this after? Phone is getting close to 2 years old now so i'm reluctant to pay full whack with OnePlus, but i'd love to get another bit of life outa this phone.

My Mam cracked her OPX screen last week. Is their anywhere in Dublin to get it fixed? She's gone into a few places to be told no.
Anyone got Oneplus to replace a cracked screen? If so how much?

Oneplus repaired mine for 80 or 90 euro including couriers fee to Poland. The job was perfect. Best thing to do really.

Nice one, thanks! For some reason I thought they were charging €120+ for this. Roughly wow long did it take can you remember? Couple of weeks?

Might have been 2 weeks, not too long. I found the service to be decent to be honest. Open up a ticket on their website and take it from there.

Sorry for dragging up such an old thread but was wondering if anyone here can help!

Recently picked up a OPX that the previous owner had rooted and put on TWRP. I wanted to go back to stock but didn't really read up on what i was attempting! Long story short the phone will not boot and is stuck in the Powered by Android screen and the OP logo.

All i can get into is the fastboot screen....

    Any ideas?!

Flash TWRP recovery again and inside TWRP flash the stock rom afterwards

    should be able to work

Thanks but unfortunately the bootloader is locked...and as there is no working version of Android on it I can't get in to change the settings in developer options.

Is there any other way of unlocking the bootloader?!

Did you relock the bootloader? If twrp and custom rom were already on it the bootloader must have been unlocked.
Have you tried xda there is guides to unbricking the phone there.

Yeah I followed the guide in this thread:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3272108

So I'm guessing that app relocked the bootloader? It was unlocked as you said because TWRP was on the phone!
