    Astonishing result, if those Exit Poll results turn out to be correct. All opinion polls had Conservatives and Labour virtually neck-and-neck. No one could have foreseen such a huge swing towards the Tories.

    Exit Polls Thursday @ 10:30pm.

    Conservative = 316
    Labour = 239
    SNP = 58
    Lib Dem = 10
    UKIP = 2
    Other = 29

    So let's see how this looks in the morning.
    So Tories need 7 to form a coalition and DUP are set to get 8 according to this poll. What do people think the odds of a Tory, DUP coalition are? They're more ideologically similar than the Lib Dems.

    Such a pity how the Scots used their democratic voice last time.

    Very much a pity

    Just a little information on Sky News if you're watching it right now regarding their graphics.

    The on-screen graphics you're seeing on that channel are brand new and they were only launched this evening just before the election coverage kicked off tonight. They will stay on screen well after the election is over.

    I am watching the ITV News coverage on ITV HD right now and Tom Bradby & Julie Etchingham doing rather well so far and their studio looks pretty good.

    The DUP are far, far worse.
    It wouldn't be too fun. Only thing I could see stopping it (if the numbers were there) would be the EU/agri stuff.

    It was 100/1 half an hour ago.

    You would think the Tories will turn to the Lib Dems if they can, rather than the DUP. Far less baggage and the working relationship is already there.

    Don't think it was an exit poll.

    It was, according to the BBC

    (At this stage of the night) I would forecast a LibDem-Tory-DUP coalition.

    Between the BBC, Sky & ITV, I like the BBC's screen the least.

    It looks a bit too cluttered.

    Bloody hell both BBC1 and BBC2 are on the election for the whole night.

    Only in the Nations, BBC Two English Regions is running a normal-ish schedule.

    There's a rumour that Ed Balls could lose his seat. That would be pretty spectacular.

    He had an 1,100 majority 5 years ago.

    Its possible.

    First result coming in now, from Houghton & Sunderland South ... Labour incumbent holds her seat. UKIP 2nd.

    From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

    The Lib Dems are toast, UKip will be thrilled with that result

    Do Sunderland start counting before the polls close, that is some going to declare so quick

    I think the case for that is the BBC One Nations like Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland have their own election programming with their presenting teams for those areas.

    To give an example if you were watching BBC One Wales now you will see Huw Edwards there for BBC Election Wales. To get David Dimbelby on your screen you have to get either the national version of BBC One HD, BBC Two Nations or the BBC News Channel.

    Just so you know; I got that information from the Radio Times magazine if you're wondering where I got it in the first place.

    Every now and again when I feel down I'll cheer myself by watching the video of Portillo losing his seat in '97

    If the exit poll is right, is that the end of Ed Miliband?

    Will they turn to his brother David, maybe? The king across the sea? :pac:
