Hands up who had the Giants being 0-4, the Jets being 2-2, the Patriots D being the worst in the league and Deshaun Watson looking like a franchise QB, all through the first 4 weeks? :o

That is a crazy number, 31 in 25 years. Especially when you consider that Cutler was their starter for 7 of those years (though he did have a habit of getting injured annually).

What were the chances of having two all time greats occupy that role one after the other. Though I've said it before, had great time for Majkowski before Favre, he dragged the team out of the 80s decline and fall. Led the NFL for passing yards in '89 and was the first Packers player I saw who had...swagger, turned a 4-12 side to 10-6. Even James Lofton seemed to have the spirit sucked out of him by playing with the Packers in the mid 80s, it was grim, the only guaranteed wins were against the Bucs.

I take it the 1972 Miami Dolphins will be shouting for the Redskins tonight and having the champagne on ice for whoever beats the Chiefs.

    Damn it anyway!!

    Carr has a back fracture

That's a pity for the Raiders, they hadn't reached the levels of last year as yet this year, but we saw they are a different team altogether without Carr. That said, EJ Manual has started games recently and may be able to manage the games if their rushing attack can find a spark.

Ravens, Chargers and Dolphins are 3 of their next 5, which are all winnable no matter the QB in Oakland. Bills, Chiefs (and maybe Pats) would be a tougher ask though.

Outta pure interest I checked if this ever happened

Happened once in 1943 between the Giants and Lions

Never happened in the modern Super Bowl era but the most recent near one was the Steelers beating the Dophins 3-0 in a sea of mud on Monday Night Football in 2007

The Titans have agreed to terms with Brandon Weeden due to Mariota being day to day.

There's no way anyone will convince me Brandon weedon is better than Colin Kaepernick.

Its madness seen as the Titans offense suits Kaep more than it does Weeden.

Yep, its interesting as some of the writers have come out to say that as Kaep cant make the pocket throws that Mariota can its better to have a passer.

But imo, Weeden cant make the throws or be mobile, at least cross off one of them and get Kaep!

    get Kaep!
Has there been any further reports on his contract demands?
Surely he's got to be considered at some point? (although I always think a players perceived value increases the more time he spends off the field)

I remember that game. Steelers were best team in the league at the time, Dolphins worst, but neither could do anything. The FG came in the last minute.

Thunder and Lightening meant only 10mns of warmup, no anthem etc.

Pittsburgh installed astro the following season

Best moment of the game was this...

Got to love the excuses if any of the FA QBs could do what Mariota could do they wouldn't be free agents to begin with :D

I dont like Kaep as a player never really rated him but how they think Weeden is better than him is baffling. Drives me nuts when I read the justification from teams for not taking Kaep. For me Kaep offers the Titans a more suitable replacement for their scheme.

Hardly a ringing endorsement of Matt Cassel either, but a(nother) joke all the same.

Mariota practiced today, he was "limited" but by all accounts he moved well and threw well. Coaches have said he either starts or doesnt play, but they'll have 3 QBs on sunday anyway.

As above, Mariota plays or not, if he doesnt play with need a QB2, but Matt Cassell... the reality is there are very few (imho) teams that can see their QB go down and roll for a string of games with a QB and get the same results

I'd rate Weeden as a better QB than Kaepernick.

I'm not sure what appears on other Boards but the guys from Music City Miracles knock out some top notch content

Surely they just need a qb2 on the bench? I would have have Cassel ahead of any replacement due to familiarity with the scheme but they need someone to sit there in case.

Have you seen weeden play? Huge arm fair enough but that is his only positive asset as a qb. Kap at least has a huge arm and can move
