I started following this strategy recently.
    In a v8 without a working fuel gauge it's a necessity!

I'd love this but the price and ad have been up and down more than a whores knickers on dd over the past year.

Was just reading about an Audi S6 on pistonheads, didn't realise they had the same V10 as the RS6...what a sleeper, would absolutely love one. Part of me would want to get one and get a loud exhaust, but that kind of defeats the purpose, love how unassuming they look. Put a tdi badge on the back (no red I) and you'd be golden.

    The C6 S6 looks like a regular C6 A6 2.0 TDI. I love it!

Same story with the E60 550i Touring :D Shtick a 520d badge on there and you'd have some surprised motorists :D

the corolla is with our mechanic this evening, getting the front anti roll bar bushings and drop links changed, cv joint changed and the rear calliper slider pins freed up or replaced if necessary :) jobs i would have liked to have done myself but with work, college and winter weather there's simply no time.

so since in the last 4 months the car has had a full service, 4 tyres, new radiator, coolant, thermostat, battery, alternator belt, cabin filter, front arb bushings and links and a cv joint. nice bit of preventative maintenance.

NCT is Thursday night at 8.20, hopefully it passes. i'm getting in just in time for the car to get a final 2 year test i believe.

    then onto donedeal :pac:

edit: just checked, actually my 2004 car was first registered in Ireland on November 26th 2008, my test date is November 13th, if i pass then i still just get a 1 year test do i :( ? **** it.

    I think yeah, you'll get 1 year only. :(

But I'm sure it'll pass no problem. :D

Scratchy is now sporting a pair of Pirelli Pzeros as the front tyres bite the dust again due to being completely smooth on the inside:o

I've never put on part worns before so we'll see how I get on.

249k at the moment, watch this space.

So the front of my car has worn 2 hankooks, 2 goodyears, and 2 bridgestones so far this year and it's only November  ( although the hankooks didn't last pissing time on the front, and the goodyears weren't on the front for very long as the bloody hankooks didn't last pissing time on the back either:mad:)

might be time to think of poly bushing the rest of the front suspension. Paying for All this rubber is breaking me!

I have part worn P-Zeros on mine with loads of thread and find them great, little to no noise and there's great grip in the wet.

If ur ever down this way gimme a shout, I know a lovely road where we could do a busso vs farmer juice challenge:P

The 159 rides on the inside of it's front tyres, they all do it.

And I'm quite hard on rubber ;)

Edit: probably should have said, I'm quite hard on tyres :pac:

Pzero's are a soft compound pred, I wore them to bits in no time on the 530d!

I know it's extremely early to be talking about Christmas but my dad is particularly difficult to buy presents for. Anyone any good suggestions for unusual or decent motoring related Christmas presents. I can never think of anything decent he could be getting a topaz fuel voucher yet :D
