Its one thing i've always wanted to do, is build a track car, sadly though I've nowhere to work on them :(

My mates house up the road as a massive shed/garage. It's pretty sweet to be able to work away inside alright, and leave **** lying about everywhere :).

It was a 1992 Continental R. So old fashioned, but the utter effortlessness of the thing was just madness, even if I was just crawling through Dublin traffic for most of it.

Having a really odd problem on the E39. Sometimes when the cruise control is activated it will start braking randomly and disengage the cruise because of this, this has twice made the Traction light appear along with a Yellow Handbrake light ((!)).

Tonight and a few nights ago it caused the Transmission to log a fault and transmission cog light to appear but this goes away and stops appearing until cruise is activated again and it starts to brake which I think is confusing the transmission and causing it to throw an error. The transmission shifts fine in all modes, D, DS and Manual.

I'm led to believe this is a brake switch problem as that would cause the random braking, no?

    Anyone?

    Thank you :)

I shall indeed look after her, and she already requires plenty of fuel, though not as much as I expected. :)

    Or did you mean oil?

Had a trip down to Newbridge today, OMG the pleasure in just deciding to overtake and putting the foot down :)

So, if you call for a pickup and arrange to meet at a certain, if you don't show up within 15 minutes, and don't answer you phone, you do not get to call me 45 minutes later and act angry when I've ****ed off home and you finally bother your arse to show up.

At least, it gave me an excuse to thake the Rx out for a good hard run. But it's showing a new problem now. This little yellow light keeps flashing in the tacho'.... it's shaped like a car with two lines behind it.

Seems to show up when I'm going around corners.

Turn it off and you'll really let it loose!
No rwd car is fun when it's being held back like that :p

Not yet.... got used to it being strangled... so used to it I didn't notice. Put my foot down like I was used to doing and it just shot off and squirmed.

On the flipside, it ****ing goes like shtink.

Good luck with the new 156 stentho :-) what colour is it and I'll keep an eye out for it?and an ear out for that busso magic .

No one has ever had this problem I'd say :pac:

Cruise control module or break pedal sensor would be the most obvious. Although if there's no faults showing up it could be a damaged wire going to a sensor.
