Got two unexpected christmas presents this year at work. It actually warms my heart. So so different from my previous workplace where I hated it everyday and felt picked on by coworkers.

When I'm absolutely bored of everything and I'm flicking through the channels aimlessly, and right on the money, I stumble across the beginning of an aul episode of Father Ted, classic Simpsons, or Only Fools.

    Ahhh, love when that happens.

Succeeded in setting up the new printer that had been in its box in the kitchen far longer than I care to mention, and print my Christmas cards,,, will now post them today and feel sooooooooooooooooo virtuous....

My toast ACTUALLY POPPED OUT OF THE TOASTER like you see in movies!
It landed on the counter-top and I was ridiculously amused by it.
But now I'm wondering if that should be happening seeing as it has never happened before :o

I saw my first car today!!!! :D It was in my local Tesco car park, I was in loooove with that car (a really knackery little red '98 Mitsubishi Colt), it was off the road for ages before I sold it because it would've cost well over a grand to get it through the NCT, so I sold it for like €300, a few years back. Amazing to see it's still on the road, and still looking as awesomely knackery as ever! :D I wish I never had to sell it ... it's so much nicer than my boring family car that I have now!

Ooh and another thing that makes me happy - when you're wrapping presents, and the pattern lines up without you even trying to make it happen!

There's this girl, and I'm not sure what the story is, but she said something in an offhand manner the last day and I smile everytime I think of it.

The schools are off for two weeks. Two weeks of not having WW3 every morning, trying to get my teenager who hates school out the door :)

My parents went through absolute hell with one of my brothers with this. And I mean, REALLY really bad. And it's hard to argue when the child is 6 foot plus!

    I do feel your pain!

when i'm doing the hoovering on the stairs(not that often) and i get to turn the head of the hoover 180 degrees, and it picks up the dirt in the corners of each step perfectly

It's some relief, the stress of it is unreal. To get her to spend the full five days every week is an almighty struggle. I feel floaty light :)

If it's any relief ... he didn't get a great Leaving Cert, certainly not to the best of his abilities. BUT. He just about scraped his way into a good college course, and fought his way up into a couple of add-ons after that. So he's actually doing quite well now academically, and while he's still living at home, he's now an absolute model child and causes no trouble whatsoever for my parents!

Like my mum used to literally have to come home from work, as a primary teacher, so her and my (cancer-ridden) dad could grab an arm each and drag him into school. He was that bad! He's a different person now.

At the time I hated him so much for doing that to them. SO much. But now, he's actually a really nice lovely person, with a great future ahead of him!
