    Some hatchet job this

This sort of reporting has been happening since 1798 and maybe before, so what's new.

Dirty ira scumbags turned on their own people all in the name of fighting the British army, it never had anything to do with freedom, they did things to their own people which were much worse than what any invading force ever did. Adams and mcguiness should be tried in a war trials court room in the Hague, hanged in public and buried without ceremony or acknowledgement in an unmarked grave in South Armagh

Worse than the British Army ever could? You're really misinformed. Read up about Patrick and Henry Loughnane, who were tortured, tied to a lorry and dragged for miles. Their bodies were also mutilated. http://www.warofindependence.info/?page_id=260

So Brendan hughes actually admitted it was hearsay, so that's what we go on now.

Adams knows more than he lets on. I suppose that's an understatement.

    I missed the program.

    Was it sensational ?

What was learned from it ? Did they have anything shocking to show ?

Has Gerry gone into hiding ? Is there now a warrant for his arrest ?

And that means what exactly? Obama has been president while 1000's of innocents have been murdered by forces under his control. Is he culpable for all of them?

    In before the 'whataboutery' cliché

You said there was not a single accusation...there was. Above has got nothing to do with the fact that your statment of no accusation is incorrect

    2006 South Armagh By election.

Willie Fraser has a lot to say about SF/IRA caravans there purely to intimidate voters.

.....in what ****ed up universe would a Republican candidate have to intimidate South Armagh into voting for them? You haven't a bit of evidence, have you?

Willie Fraser has a lot to say, allright, and its all bollocks. A semi-deranged bigot that even his own community laugh at.

The caravans thing is funny though, I'll give him that.

Tell me about it, could have saved myself a tidy some over there. Don't get me started on dentist in the RoI. I'm sure Gerry can easily afford them down here, unlike a PAYE worker like me.

I seem to remember you berating somebody for their whataboutery on the poppy thread for bringing up IRA crimes. Bit hypocritical of you isn't it?

The person I quoted wasn't specific about which people had no regards for civil rights which allowed me to ask my rhetorical question.

See yesterday's post at 01.50 where you claimed members of Adams family were murdered by the BA

I said his family and peers.

I can happily accept people defending the IRA and having the courage to put an argument forward in an intelligent way but to see posters (some that I actually respect usually ) deliberately being mendacious about their belief that Adams was an IRA commander simply as a obscurantist political tactic is profoundly depressing and cowardly.

Nice edit. Willie Fraser loses election in South Armagh and blames intimidation is even funnier than the last.

Bizarre that your 'source' is a post from another board slagging off wee willie.....

Did you just search that out now in desperation, or was that behind your claim all along?

Utter nonsense, it was whataboutery. But when you do it, it's 'a rhetorical question.'

If tonight's programme does anything, it highlights why Sinn Fein have to retire Adams as their leader. Gerry Adams may or may not be an ex member of the Provo's, but even as an apologist and spokesperson for them, he is surely tainted enough for the vast majority of the Irish electorate to streer well clear of SF in the polls (hardened SF viters aside) until he is repalced by a new leader, who doesnt have "the whiff of sulphur" about them - Mary Lou or Pearse Doherty come to mind.

Eh I said a lot not all of the disappeared, please read posts before getting excited.

    Less of the patronising attitude!

Who decided which of the dissappeared were members of the IRA?

Not patronising just pulling you up on a false accusation, I feel I'm entitled to this.

    yep, same as always.

funny how given all the recordings, surveillance photos etc of IRA meetings down through the years, not one has Gerry Adams there.

not saying he wasn't head of the Belfast Brigade, he probably was, but there's seemingly never been anything other than someone's word, usually those who are completely against SF and the peace process...
