I've always wanted to try one of those. I don't think it looks easy at all.

I kinda thought that if you could do a reasonable amount of pullups you'd be grand! That is not the case!

Let me (backtrack) qualify my statement. When I saw icing, what I mean is the full-on icing on a Christmas cake for example.

If the icing is nice, I'll eat it.

I definitely have no time for cream. It ruins every cake.

Icing = when it's nice, good.

    Cream = evil, always.

Ah right. I wouldn't have assumed that. It's basically one arm chin holds and uneven chin ups.
I've been doing some rope climb, and monkey bar stuff. So might have given realistic expectations.

Salmon ladder is another I'd like to try

    Ah well...

    It's International Confectionary Day, innit.

Someone brought in a skipful of those little biscuits made with desiccated coconut with a half cherry on top....last time I had those I was a chizler and my Mam had made them

    They taste like memories.

I have honestly never seen those, but googled and they are totally a thing.

I now feel like I had a really deprived and traumatic childhood. Explains a lot tbh.

As an aside, since when did donuts become everywhere? :(

I don't think I've ever seen (or eaten) them before either!

While I guess I know the answer, I just wanted to double checkhow stringent equipment rules are...got a strengthshop double prong belt but happened to look at IPF approved equipment again and saw they only have Strengthshop lever belts.

So I presume I couldn't use the double prong belt in an IPF comp?

1.5kg down :D. Guess my water water was still dropping like crazy from my beer festival last weekend. Should be no problem making weight now. Yay no water cut.

Now the question is should I raise my calories this week to maintenance or even just a small deficit. I think the second option would be best with an early food and water cut off Friday. I do have 4 hours to refeed and hydrate on the day.

    Cutting to

Yep. First time in a long time being at this weight. I'll be moving up for my next comp. I'm already counting down the days to my hangover dominoes on Sunday.

Olympics has just been on and the Dublin marathon is coming up fairly soon.

Also, there's plenty of internet out there for non-running related fitness content.

    And running is class. :D

Do you have 4 hours to refeed and hydrate .. i though the weigh-ins were only 2 hours before first lift for each of the morning and afternoon sessions.

I've another 1kg to get rid of and I want it gone by Thursday so I can eat as normal on Friday and Saturday for lifting on sunday !

I'm more concerned about having to drive two hours on sunday morning for a 8am weigh-in and probably first lift about 10am ... it will be a case of lying in bed wide awake at 9 on Saturday evening !!
