Picked up some Lidl Eridanous 2% fat greek yogurt. Decent macros (2.5 f/4.5 c/8.6 p) and 4g/100g sugars for ~€2.70 for 1kg.

I think it's new or something because the macros have definitely changed from any greek yogurts they had before.

Looking at myFitnessPal I think it's because it's greek yogurt as opposed to greek style yogurt. Going to get some strange looks bringing this 'tub' into work though.

Do you have 4 hours to refeed and hydrate .. i though the weigh-ins were only 2 hours before first lift for each of the morning and afternoon sessions.

I've another 1kg to get rid of and I want it gone by Thursday so I can eat as normal on Friday and Saturday for lifting on sunday !

I'm more concerned about having to drive two hours on sunday morning for a 8am weigh-in and probably first lift about 10am ... it will be a case of lying in bed wide awake at 9 on Saturday evening !!

I'm in the 74kg weight class so I weight in Saturday at 12pm and according to their fb page the first lifts start at 4pm.

Back up to 74.7kg today but I'm not too worried at all about that. If I'm still over on Friday I'll just cut off eating earlier than usual.

Ah ye I don't have to worry about the drive. I'm staying over there the night before. I thought I'd be doing it dehydrated and hungry so booked a room. Looks like I most likely won't need to do that now.

We should get boardsie stickers! Be nice to put a face to a name :)

Sadly I think it's only one of the temporary specials :(

Also the only difference between greek yogurt and greek style yogurt is the latter is not made in greece so can't claim to be actually "greek yogurt" even if it is made strictly to recipe/practice (EU labelling thing afaik)

Definitely going to be one of those that you try and are like "oh, this is quite nice" and then after your 4th shake you wish you had just gone for chocolate or vanilla again but still have to suffer through the last few kilos of toffee bullshít.

I have had it and it's lovely - tasted like a buttery toffee (not much popcorn tbh!) but I only got 1kg - very nice in greek yogurt/porridge/baking too.

I am intrigued by their new tiramisu - too scared to commit to a bag though!

I get that with any flavour. Wish it was cost effective to buy 500 gram bags in multiple flavors rather than one large 2kg. Dont really have the space to be storing 4x2kgs of stuff. :D

I always my flavoured protein in 1kg sizes. It's not cost effective I know. But I take so long to get through a bag that I'd be bored of anything bigger.

They should do a mini selection pack of 6 different flavours like Kellogg's used to do with the small cereal boxes

On this note: if you ever see a special offer on specific flavours run a mile. It's usually because they are utterly manky and no one is buying them.

Yep I second this. 2.2kg of pineapple protein. What a waste.

I tried some cookie toffee gunk, horrendous.

I get 5kg bags. Screw having to order the next one. I did however have to put the end of the last bag through a sieve because it was starting to cake!

Dono how you managed to get through it! I just left mine to waste. My creatine is starting to cake :(. But that was due to the heat, humidity and leaving the bg open a few weeks ago. Annoying.

If there is pineapple on it then it ceases to be a pizza, it's now an abomination. Only 1 fruit belongs on a pizza -tomato.

If people find protein tastes bad they could try holding their nose while drinking it, or not breathing in through your nose. I remember seeing tests and people were not able to tell the difference between milkshakes when their nose was blocked.

I'm not a big pizza so I can't comment but actual pineapple is fine.

    Pineapple-flavoured anything is rank.

    Same goes for banana.
