They seem to have gotten through March quick enough, hopefully they've gotten through the bulk of them. I only applied in May :(

Latest news is that they are now processing April 2012 claims

Sorry haven't read all the posts but I sent my letter and my partners in September. We both received a letter in the post in December saying:
"In order for us to carry out a review of your tax record for 2008-2012 we will require a letter from your employer stating how much the medical insurance premiums for each year were"

I was under the illusion it was up to them to look at my records and issue me a refund if needs be, why do I have to conact my employer and find out premiums? ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry you appear to be confusing claiming tax relief on medical insurance premiums paid by your employer as a benefit in kind and the possibility that you may have overpaid PRSI. The first is dealt with by Revenue as its tax related and the second by the DSP as its PRSI related.
This thread relates to PRSI refunds.

No I'm not confusing which claim, I was claiming PRSI refunds. I posted letter to :
    PRSI Refunds Section,
    Department of Social Protection,
    Oisin House,
    212-213 Pearse Street,
    Dublin 2.
I actually sent it after reading this thread, had heard all the hype and never bothered until I read this thread here! I put my name, address,PPS,DOB (exactly as it states in Post #7 in this thread)
The letter is actually from Revenue now that I look at it?!?!?

I think at this stage you should consider contacting them or re-applying

If you write to the PRSI address and say the following :

Please confirm in writing that you have received my prsi refund claim , and also confirm when I can expect refund .( remember to include your PPS number and confirm your address )

You should receive an answer within 2 weeks ( I did anyway )

Hi all I sent a letter asking was I eligible for prsi refund to the above address, I got a letter today detailing that I'm due a refund on the health levy for years 2009 and 2010. Is this the same thing or could I still get letter about prsi? Thanks

Same thing - part of prsi contribution.
Surprised some people got letters, as i sent mine 2 weeks ago (knew about it for long time, but was too lazy to post it before), and got surprise in the post today. Cheque was there, but no letter or anything to explain what it was for.
You should get your cheque soon.
