Has anyone had any problem getting a response from Fatcheese in the last few weeks.

I'm overdue a payment of €90 and raised a ticket last week.

I also bought car hire and it wasnt allocated to my account and raised a claim.

I've had no response from them.

Is there an email address/phone number I can contact them on ?

This is their postal address. They have a phone number but thats just for business users so doubt that would be of any use. I'm still waiting on cashback from Justeat and Pigsback...only minor amounts compared to yourself though.

    Fatcheese Limited (Company Number: 481966)
    Blair House
    Upper O'Connell Street
    Ennis
    Co Clare

    Good luck:)

It is summer - so maybe people are on holidays (especially important when something is a small enterprise).

Anyway - I know that they engage a lot on Twitter, so maybe a message to them via that channel might get you somewhere.

    thanks for the replies.
I tried them on twitter but probably wont get any response until tomorrow.

Due about 100 quid myself through claims and not yet approved amounts. One goes back to March and has had a ticket open since May!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,610 ✭✭✭Padraig Mor

Owed a tenner from a Travelodge transaction, due to be paid June but nada yet. Raised a ticket but was simply told to.....wait longer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭dareden

I am due someone money back from hotels.ie also. I raised a few tickets months ago re meteor and pigsback and today I was notified that they have now lodged them with the suppliers to check the details. So they are slow but they are working on it. So I wouldn't worry if your ticket is only a week old.

Can't wait *rubs hands* I've already got €60 cash back - amazing stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Funkstard

Bought a meteor phone through fatcheese but there's nothing on my account about it - should be due €40 back. Wondering if I did something wrong as I never received any confirmation from fatcheese or saw anything on the payment process referring to them. Just clicked the link on fatcheese which brought me to the meteor store.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Always save a screenshot of their "My Clicks" screen to prove that you actually went through their site properly.

It's very unreasonable that they offer no email or phone contact and have now even removed their live online chat support.

Just today I got credit from some pigsback transactions. I submitted the claims on 19 April and 24 June. I got a reply back 17 Aug asking for further information and today I got the money. So it is a long wait. But its worth it. Free money.

Have raised several tickets re my issue above - all with no response. I'd remove any balance you may have from Fatcheese ASAP.....

Fatcheese should change its name to Long-finger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 887 ✭✭✭PeterDuggan

Fatcheese seem to be getting worse - especially for dealing with missed or mistracked transactions. But they do publish a phone number on their facebook page...
    01-254-2441

    Good luck.

similar - booked accomodation through fatcheese and due back over 100 quid but they havent responded to my last 3 messages. very disappointed!

I'm also getting a bit fed up with the lack of response to claims / tickets / suggestions / everything really. The concept is brilliant but either they're either under resourced or totally disorganised....

I've got ~E150 awarded to me - was gonna let it build up coming up to Christmas and wait til it hit E200 before withdrawing - perhaps I should withdraw it now however?

Has anyone got cashback from Hotels.ie in the last couple of months. I have a pending one that says "following stay" but have not recievd the money yet. On the fatchesse site the last payment made for Hotels .ie was in July or thereabouts. I have also submitted a ticket at the begining of September but have heard nothing back. I know its free money and all that, but they shouldn't have the options for contacting them etc.. if they have no intention of replying to them. I am not on Twitter so can't contact there. Any other way of a fast response?

If I was you, I would definitely withdraw it now.

I have no idea how Fatcheese are doing, but you would feel like a tit if they went under and you had that much in your account unclaimed.

If you want to leave it as 'savings' for Christmas, maybe leave it in your Paypal account for now.

Is this "following stay" a new thing? I bought a (pretty expensive) gift voucher from Lastminute via Fatcheese last week and it says the cashback will be awarded 'following stay'. But, y'know, it's already paid for in full and can't be cancelled guys!

I have 75 owing to me from Hotels.ie with 6 months, still showing up as PENDING, tried to contact FatCheese multiple times, no response.
They are really starting to look like a company on the way out.

I'ma lso waiting on €172 from hotels.com too.
it stills shows up "following stay" which was back in september, raised a ticket on october 1st.. no update
so it seems this may be the main one not paying out?
hotels.com are a nightmare to get a refund off, I had a problem with the place I stayed in, and it must of taken about 25 calls to them & hours on the phone to get some sort of refund off them

If you got a refund from Hotels.com, you will be doing well if Fatcheese pay out to you.

Does anyone know if we have any kind of rights whatsoever, or have any ideas as to how best to pursue this (getting long overdue cashback).

    According to their facebook page:
Two items of big news... firstly, Hotels.com transactions should all be resolved very shortly :)

    and
Hopefully issues should be resolved within a couple of weeks. Just waiting for a very large payment to come through!

    Fingers crossed..

Fatcheese seem to have stopped responding to customers' payment requests. They ignore emails, tickets, and claims on their website and their online chat service has been turned off for months. However they are still taking/referring orders as though they were still in business. This could be seen as fraudulent behaviour.

This is a public call to Fatcheese to confirm that they will pay monies due to customers.

If they fail to do so, are people interested in taking a mass-action claim or series of claims in the courts?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,713 ✭✭✭✭jor el

There is no class action law suit in Irish law, so forget it. If you have a case then take it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,518 ✭✭✭✭dudara

As said above, there is no such thing as a class action under Irish law.

Let's not go off on a tangent about legal procedure.

    First let's hear from Fatcheese...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,713 ✭✭✭✭jor el

Well, you're not going to hear from them here. You need to put your own case to them, in writing first. List all monies owed to you by them, and demand that they pay them without delay. Give them some time to respond (10 to 14 days would be the norm).

If they don't respond, take a small claims case for your money, if that's actually possible. I'm not sure because small claims cannot be used in respect of a debt, which this could be seen as. If so, you'll need a solicitor, which maybe end up costing more than you're owed.

In any event, grouping together is probably not going to get you anywhere, except that you'll know you're not alone. You already know this though, as there's been plenty of people saying the same thing; owed money and not getting paid.

It took 8 months to award my bookdepository purchase.

It took 10 months for my Vodafone purchase to switch to verified, so I figure another month or two. If it comes through that's likely to be a year for payment.

I have 2 other claims pending since March.

To be fair to Fatcheese, it could be that it's not so much that they are holding money, or failing to act on claims. It could be that the vendors are dragging out payments as much as possible. In reality Fatcheese should say that payment may take 6 months to a year... Of course in that scenario most people will figure that's so far in the future it's not worth bothering with...

    Ix.

I just got a payment from fatcheese for hotels.com.

I raised two tickets looking for this money and it seems that hotels.com were dragging their heels paying up. They replied to me about a fortnight ago to say is looks like its sorted.

I don't think there is any point in blaming Fatcheese. When they get the money, we get the money.

Maybe a shot at hotels.com or whoever, may give them a giddeee up.

Just re-read the last two pages. has anyone else noticed hotels.com / hotels.ie seems to be popping up again and again and again?

    ?

That's all well and good - but there's no reason for Fatcheese to ignore any and all attempts to contact them (as far as I can see). That's just bad business.

Very true, but they may just have a pain in their proverbials with the same complaints again and again.

If its out of their control there aint much they can do except wait.

Meh. I raised a ticket with them three weeks ago re an 'unusual' issue - i.e. not 'when will I get paid'. No response. I have 'bumped' another ticket eight times in the last three months. No response....

Rubbish. That's not how to conduct yourself in a business setting.

If they are having trouble getting money from others then they could send a broadcast to all members or something along those lines.

Or even have a Auto reply explaining their situation.

    From my experience

When I make a purchase via their referrals, my Fatcheese account has generally always been credited with the promised amount within the given timeframe. The only exception to this has been a purchase with Hotels.com. I had to open a claim for this purchase and it is still pending. Reading other peoples' responses, it would appears that Hotels.com is a common link.

With regard to withdrawing the funds from my Fatcheese account - I requested a withdrawal to my bank account at the end of last week, and it was paid into my bank account this morning.

Overall, I have no complaints - except with the non-communication on my claim for Hotels.com

    Silly question maybe?

Is there any danger giving them your bank account details?

(More of a general question here by the way - not specifically suspicious of FatCheese).

Hotels.com again eh? Just as I thought, there must be an issue with them paying up.

I can only imagine the amount of complaints fatcheese must be getting about them. Have they got the manpower to answer them all.

I can only speculate after replying to the first load with the same answer, they just got a pain in the backside. Not condoning it, just pointing out the obvious.
