Which machine broke, the car or the buffer? Looks like you spent a huge amount of time doing a paint correction!

Lol I did in me arse! The threads holding on the pad onto the Polish just rounded themselves, I wouldn't mind, I haven't used it that much.

Spent a few hours with my machine, which incidentally broke :(

Wait, you got another car? What is it, an E34 or E30?

I got 4 new tyres put on my car today.

There was a clunking noise coming from the rear wheels when braking/slowing down which turned out to be the tyres "slipping" due to being worn on the inside due to negative camber. I was full sure it was something to do with the diff internals but thankfully, no!

The car feels a lot better on the road, stops better and handles better too.

Kuhmo something SPT 215/45/18. The car had 225/45/18 Kormorans on it when I got it and in my opinion, they sucked!

I paid €145 for each of them so €580 altogether. I was going to go with Bridgestone Potenzas until I was told the price of them.

BTW, did you end up getting that aerial?

    2008' S60 2.0 SE. I know it's nearing 4 years old but it's new to me :D.
I missed the old S80 I use to have and just really wanted a Volvo again.
I was delighted to trade in that horrible a6 I had, hated the bleeding thing with a passion!

Which model are you driving by the way?

    None at present.

Have a 2.5 litre S70 off the road which would bleed me dry in road tax and fuel if I decided to run it again.

Best of luck with the S60 anyway; a fine choice.

    215/45/18 were €190 and 225/45/18 were €210

    That included fitting and balancing.

When you include P&P from camskill, they work out about the same and not a lot of tyre shops will fit customer-supplied tyres around here.

Yeah they're very expensive and for the levels of grip they provide, you'd never have the use for it on irish roads.

Kumho are a very good brand though. I would suggest you get a set of them instead.

I got prices of €160 for Hankook and Falken in 225 45 18, so not too bad in comparison to €210 for Bridgestone :)

I'm going to rip the rest of my interior out and start trial fitting the cage. Going to start building the engine too. Anybody here got experience with Manley rings?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,931 ✭✭✭✭challengemaster
