    Hmmmm......misleading post ^^^

could also read........2yr contract for iphone 3gs.....€40/month

iphone 4 is only free on mega flex max/€80 or ultimate flex max/€95 per month

Seems to be a misleading advert from 3, the homepage says free iPhone 4 on €40 per month but it doesn't show that on any of the plans.

might only kick in at 9am ... it all so says 3g out of stock

Ya i think its just that their page hasn't updated. A friend of a friend works there and thats how i heard about it and he said its free and only €40 a month, but i think it is for 24 months though, but still not bad.

Edit: Yep the page has been updated, just had a look there

It still does not show the iPhone 4 as free on it...

so it costs €960 to get an iPhone in a bargain alert. What did it cost before?

€40 a month includes lots of calls and texts - most if not all smart phones have 18 month contracts, so its really not a bad deal at all.

Do a bit of math, you begrudging donkeys....

so go buy your new iphone 4 - thats €599 from the apple store....that leaves you €361 for two years calls - that gives you €15 per month on your pay as you go plan....

cant imagine you're going to get all you can eat data and 350 minutes/texts for €15 a month.

    Great deal from 3 -

Seems like a good deal to me, thinking of getting it at lunch, would prefer to be on O2, think there is any chance if i rang O2 they would match the price on the handset? (chances are slim i would think)

    anyone ever try it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,425 ✭✭✭gunnerfitzy

Bought it! Very good deal once you wont want iPhone 5 when it released!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 52 ✭✭randox

Doubt O2 will match it. I just left O2 after 12 years to switch to 3
on April 2nd. Ask the Forum manager to match the deal of €40/m
    and they wouldn't.

I paid €169 for by iPhone 4 three weeks ago and now its free :-(

    Nah of course they wouldn't!

The price plans etc are completely different to!

Anyone know how much insurance is with 3? I dont fancy losing the iPhone 4 one month into the contract and not being covered & locked into a 24 month contract

€150 euro deposit refundable after 6 months! Is this normal?
I would also be interested in Insurance, anyone know of a good site for the i-phone insurance

    thanks house.

As someone who's never used 3, whats their network like? I'm presuming they'd have proper coverage etc but any gotcha's like no roaming or something silly like that?

An app called Hullomail I think, uses data instead of a voice call rate AFAIK.
