    Despite the few snatch misses suggesting a non too great snatch session it was actually quite good. Strength is still way down so I did well to make as many of them as I did. Was getting under them very well. Should have got the 71's little soft on lockout on first one and I landed the 2nd one but bounced forward coming out of catch.

    Had to drop weights on everything else though. My programme had clean pulls going up to 110kg for triple etc...

    I worked in with Wayne on my front squats while he was doing back squat singles. Let's just say there was a small bit of bar strippage between lifts :pac: You would not want to have an ego lifting with him. Good thing I'm hyper aware of my gross inadequacies and have a penchant for self loathing.

    Anyways feeling good in general though and have that renewed motivation to train hard that I was hoping for when I got back into it after sickness & holidays. Sh*t is going to get done this winter.

    The road from mediocrity to a milder form of mediocrity is tough. I haven't failed a 90kg pc in like forever. Another two or three weeks and I should be in reasonable form though. Cork is out not enough time but Wayne says they'll be throwing a few 'fun' competitions in various formats in ECB/Ironside before the end of the year so I'll have those to focus towards.

    Damn missed more snatches than Monday while feeling stronger, technique wasn't as good. Should start hitting them all from next week hopefully. Wayne corrected my form on db rows so dropped back weight on last set. Need to lift DB up, retract shoulder blade then do the lift and repeat this motion for each rep. Same idea as pendlay rows but it feels more natural doing it with a barbell than dumbbell.

    Sticking with 3 days a week for this 4 week 'unf*ck myself' program I'm on. Though I might stick with 3 days it's kinda nice not feeling completely wrecked all the time. Could stretch, rehab, do core sh*t on a 4th day at home. Maybe sprint if feeling particular energetic. I'll see after 4 weeks are up anyway.

    Had to catch some of the powersnatches deeper than I usually do but good bit better than last week. Also failing 95kg pc instead of 90kg this week. I'll take fails @ 100kg next week and fails @ 105kg the week after that. I'd love to fail 115kg before the end of the year but I'd really have to sort my **** out for that. More likely early next year.

    Moved upperbody stuff from Friday to Wednesday so I can roll in on a 4th day on Saturday and do some upperbody sh*t (gay day) if the mood takes me. Not in condition to do 4 proper training sessions yet.

    I don't know what was wrong with me tonight but the night didn't start well when my protein shake consisting of 400ml milk and 50-60g choc protein opened up in my bag. At least I'd taken everything else out of it before it happened. First FML of the night.

    Couldn't snatch to save my life was missing everything. I think it's because I didn't drink at the weekend. Silly me. Skipped clean pulls due to how sh*t I was. Rest of the night wasn't too bad. Weights are low on cleans and front squats because I have no legs not because of the recent onset of sh*tness.

    Snatches were mostly good just small correctable errors on the ones I missed. First time trap bar deadlifting so testing the waters with it, it's pretty sweet will go heavier next week. The muscle-ups were to see if I'm still elite, only partially as my non elite grip slipped on the 3rd rep.

    Ugh felt rubbish this morning so called in sick when my alarm went off. Went back to sleep and didn't wake up till 1pm. Lounged around for a few hours then decided to go training. Felt so lethargic and had zero adrenalin flowing to help lifting. Worse than a punch the clock session. Clock on skive off and then come back and clock off more like.

    My upper back just gives up on heavy front squats. I can't really bounce on them either or back just goes immediately. Anybody got any tips or cues for maintaining upperback? I already do Kelly Starret **** though not very proactive on it lately and I do have some upper back work in program but will probably have more once go back to training x4 week. Hopefully hit 100kg in two weeks or else I'll just have to slit my wrists /emo

    Was even more emo today than Monday but managed to snap out of it when I started training. First PR on a proper lift in about two months. I don't care that it was only 0.5kg. Back in the game yo!

    Work night out friday and I'm out again tonight so training did not happen. After reading ed's log I decided to check my earliest log entries. This was about two weeks into SS. Back in my 68kg days. My legs are still weak as **** but at least my squat has passed out my press :pac:

    What a load of cock that was. I haven't trained since last Wednesday due to various liquids in different forms and states. Also did everything else someone who wants to become more athletic shouldn't do in that time. Was bloody useless. I was barely able to powerclean 90kg ffs.

    I have been made aware of flooding which cancels my planned weekend. I'll now be around for the ironside/ecb powerclean competition. I was all excited about doing it but now I'm mad depressed after training. Ah f*ck it I'll monk it up as much as possible between now and Saturday then rape myself with caffeine before it. All going well a PR albeit small might be salvageable.

    EDIT: Oh yeah they have all the members of ECB's numbers now written up on the walls with chalk (parts of it blacked out, looks pretty cool). Should provide good incentive to up the numbers. My classical and powers look respectable enough but I'm getting raped on squats. More people are lifting in there now too it was pretty quiet immediately following the move. The lifting and competitive atmosphere is gonna kick off soon. I'm looking forward to it.
