this is for people who want to make friends in galway. for people who have just moved to galway and would like to have more a social life. i just moved here from wicklow and im seeking some friends to have chats with, go out to pubs with and to do things in general with lol... i love having girlie friends because one girl…

Well I vote a night out needs to be planned soon then. I don't mind what pub something with a bit of live music would be cool. I'm available anytime really coz I work for myself so if other people want to suggest a day/time etc. feel free.

I'll get the ball rolling and suggest meeting up sometime during the week beginning 5th September.To ensure that as many people as possible can show up I think Saturday 10th is a good date.

Also, there's a zombie walk in the city on Friday 9th September that a few boardsies and I are going to.If anyone else is up for coming along drop me a PM or something.

hi. living in galway last few years and came across this. know a good few people but can never have too many friends to go out with and would love to meet some new friends!! as for week of 5th september-have pity on those of us who are off to electric picnic and give us couple of days to recover! i'm 30 by the way....

It's probably been mentioned somewhere here before but there's always the book club.We meet every second Tuesday. We have a meeting tonight down in The Cottage Bar in lower Salthill at around 8 30 or so. Tonight's book is Getting Through, a short story collection by John McGahern.
Don't be put off if you haven't read the book!

Ha ha good idea. I do have an array of tea towels but none I could part with. I won an angry bird in seapoint the other day I could bring that but I'd have to prize it from daughters hands first.
