I'll get the ball rolling and suggest meeting up sometime during the week beginning 5th September. To ensure that as many people as possible can show up I think Saturday 10th is a good date.

Also, there's a zombie walk in the city on Friday 9th September that a few boardsies and I are going to.If anyone else is up for coming along drop me a PM or something.

Hi just joined having found this thread. I'm actually from Galway but moved away for a while and most of my friends have settled down. Would love to make a few new friends for socialising.

Actually last summer I organized a cinema club of sorts. Perhaps I might start it up again if there's much interest!

I'd def be up for a cinema club type thing. I love going to the cinema (I'm not a film critic by any means though - I mainly go for the entertainment and popcorn!) :P

    Hi guys,
I'd like to meet up new people as well. I moved in Galway last July.
My situation is really close to yours emzippy.
I think it would be nice to meet you, i live close enough from headford road. May we meet up if you'd like?

I was messaging with a few others about a lunch/coffee or drink type thing if you'd be interested. t seems to be mainly girls at the min. Do you have Facebook, that's how I've been able to message people too. It's hard to send me on your link though without the rest of boards seeing it.

It's probably been mentioned somewhere here before but there's always the book club.We meet every second Tuesday. We have a meeting tonight down in The Cottage Bar in lower Salthill at around 8 30 or so. Tonight's book is Getting Through, a short story collection by John McGahern.
Don't be put off if you haven't read the book!

Last time someone brought a tea towel along and put on the edge of the table...true story :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 20 Hollow Man

Ha ha good idea. I do have an array of tea towels but none I could part with. I won an angry bird in seapoint the other day I could bring that but I'd have to prize it from daughters hands first.
