Where in Galway are you christinab89, city or county?
Try posting in the Ladies Lounge, they have a forum for meetups, cinema outings and drinks.
There is a thread in the city forum already if you can find it.

Did try to organize a trip to the Cinema, was hopeful as there seemed interest in going but it didn't happen in the end .....

I've been to the cinema with girl boardsies, was great fun. I keep in contact with at least 5 people that I met here, in and around the Galway area, very grateful for boards!

Hi OP. Given the size of County Galway you'd need to be more specific about your location.

Example - Eyrecourt and Clifden are both in Co Galway. However, Eyrecourt is a lot closer to Baltinglass in your home county of Wicklow than it is to Clifden. :)

Either way, welcome to Galway OP! Hope you settle in soon, I've no doubt you'll soon make lots of friends here. We're a good bunch.

    Hi all
I moved to Galway a year ago and have found it hard to make new girlie friends!
I'm 35, married and live in Corrandulla. I suppose I'm a bit old to be heading to niteclubs etc although with a few glasses of vino - you'd never know.
If anyone around same age or living in my area is looking to meet new people - please get in touch! A good old chat and gossip is good for the soul!

35 is too old to go out and have the craic?! Wish someone had warned me six years ago! For some reason I'm reminded of Logan's Run!

Do the bowling pins still have strings attached? :pac:

Where is this bowling alley?? I'll need directions, and when are you thinking of going bowling?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,729 ✭✭✭Acoshla

Karona there's two bowling alleys, one on Headford Road and one in Oranmore, normally when these nights are organised they pick the one that suits the majority.

Hey I'm also 35 and moved to just outside headford just over 3 years ago. I have a little baby and because I work in the city I've not had a chance to really meet people around my own area. And now with the baby it is even harder.

I wonder if there are many more girlies like us LibbyW who are near enough to maybe get a meetup going?
