Like many others, I need to get a installation manual for my Astec 49DV - I can't find it anywhere. There's a battery fault showing and I've ordered its replacement.

    Thanks in advance!

Can I ask someone for the engineer manual for the HKC 8/12 alarm? Getting spurious alarms and I think one of the sensors is faulty.
    Many thanks!

Have just changed battery in my Astec 63dv and can't get into engineering mode to clear engineer call 16 message. The number of the guy who serviced it is no longer in use - can anyone send me the engineers manual so I can factory reset etc? I've been trying the 1174 and 4711 codes and nothing happening.

Many thanks in advance for any help

    I'd say it's call engineer 76.
I'll PM you the manual. But if they set that up they probably have it engineer locked.

Thanks, that was above and beyond with the quick response

I would check connections if you have call engineer 16 as a fault.
This would be related to a short on a cable or a PIR disconnected so check the PIR connections to the left of the zones in the control panel.

Thanks to both of you, but I think I may need an engineer - I get as far as Access but don't know what to do after that.
Any thoughts and sorry if this is the wrong thread.
Display is Bypass 16 Call Engineer

Did you try to default the system?

The engineers code 1174 doesn't seem to allow me access
What is the procedure to default the system?

Remove the lid, down power mains and battery.
    Remove factory link.
Power back up on battery with default link removed and the default codes should work.
If they dont then the system is locked and you would need an engineer to reset it for you.

    This is the battery link.
The default link is on the left hand side as you look at the control panel.
