Has anyone been paid for the Leinster- Munster match? Thanks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭channelsurfer2

no... seems to be a holdup or something cos the assistant head stewards told us that from now on we would be paid the thursday week after a game...allowing for the EFT to pass to the bank that would have been on friday or so... maybe they are gonna pay us for both matches(ireland russia as well) next friday??

edit i see payment into my account now... they must have taken longer to transfer this week

Just received payment. It took longer than usual for some reason.

Formal casual. Worse my usual clothes, but dressed them up a little bit! I.e. nice dress, smart boots, smart coat

Thanks would any of you know what positions are left full time or part time permanet.

All jobs are on a casual contract and that would be for match days.

The only jobs left for advertisement atm are Plate Waiting Staff and Match Day chefs

anyone else at the induction last night, they said we weren't guaranteed jobs just cause we were there and that they'd let us know if we got it in the next few weeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,540 ✭✭✭freeze4real

I was at the interview today and I was td that they would send me an email regarding induction meaning I got the job.
A lady there also said training starts next week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,827 ✭✭✭Alkers

Got paid again today, assume for Irl V Russia.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,540 ✭✭✭freeze4real

I got an email saying that I should come for induction on Wednesday the 28th. And after that it says the details of the induction.
    Date 28th
    Day. Thursday
    Location Aviva stadium.

Which is it thursday or Wednesday?

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Bucklesman

    Mine says Wednesday 27th.

In that case mine is on Thursday. Does this mean that we've got the job.

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Bucklesman

AFAIK it's no guarantee, but that's based on a post earlier in this thread. I'm proceeding on the assumption that I've got it. :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,540 ✭✭✭freeze4real

Cool but induction is meant to be training.

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Bucklesman

Here's hoping. I don't think they'd exclude you once you went to the induction unless you did something crazily stupid at it or your references didn't check out or some such.

Remember, there's no guarantee of a job until you've signed a contract.

Which job did you apply for ? When I was at the induction for stewards we were told we weren't guaranteed a job

i applied for a kiosk retailer.

on page 8 a guys said once you were called for induction you've got the job but its official when you penn a contract.

the interviewer also said the same to me.

Even if you sign a contract you're not guarenteed hours. All the contracts are casual ones and state that they obliged to offer you work. It's generally done by who worked the last event gets first preference, but if you ring them and ask for hours they'll try give you them. If you don't ask, you don't get any basically.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,540 ✭✭✭freeze4real

In that case I'll keep my hands crossed and see what happens on Thursday.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

Any idea how often they advertise jobs? It looks like a handy enough place to work.

Did any who works for compass get a reply when they emailed back to the email we were sent about availability in November?
