why are they reopening masons after xmas like?

Do you expect them to go back in time and re-open?

Obviously whatever deal was being done had no chance of being done before Christmas. Not to mention hiring staff, making any renovations etc.

Some amount of scumbags used to go to Masons, really low brow place, would take in anyone..if they do change owners or reopen they should make a concerted effort to keep the scum out.

I enjoyed Masons immensely. Upstairs and downstairs were great craic. Looking forward to it opening again I must say!

I've been away for the last few years. Do any metal gigs take place in Waterford anymore? Even just every month or two?

There are occasional metal gigs in Sals and Murphy's, both on the quay. I suppose every 2 months would be about as often unfortunately. Would love to see way more metal and techno in town at the weekends.

Is this Bob Tweedy? Thought he was running some place in Cork at the moment? I was in The Foundry a few weeks ago and it was absolutely jammers. Masons needs to reopen soon because the Foundry is too small for the crowd there on a Wednesday, at the least.

Not bob, although he was in talks about it before Xmas.

Anyone know of anything going on around town this Tuesday night?

Anyone know of anything going on around town this Tuesday night?

Foundry isn't open on Tuesdays anyway. It'd be the quietest night of the week by a mile but still a lot more enjoyable than Wednesday night crowds.

Kazbar or Geoffs would probably be your best bets to go to but both will be closed by 00:30 with drinks stopping being served before midnight.
