Yeah a minibus is your only real option. Try hire one to bring you there and back. It's much cheaper than getting taxis which is your only other option to get home. City West is a nightmare to get home from which is the only problem with the venue.

Day One of the 2009 World Grand Prix has finally arrived :)

Here is today's lineup and I think will win in bold:

    Wayne Jones v Paul Nicholson
Andy Smith v Vincent van der Voort
    Denis Ovens v Mark Dudbridge
    John Part v Colin Lloyd
    John MaGowan v Gary Anderson
    Phil Taylor v Brendan Dolan
    Terry Jenkins v Wayne Mardle
    Adrian Lewis v Robert Thornton

I am really looking forward to this tournament. Taylor has struggled here in the past and with the double in it tends to level the playing field a little bit. A lot of the big guns will be going out first round as they have been drawn against each other. I'm just looking forward to a night of top quality darts. Hopefully Mr. Magoo and Brendan Dolan can put in good performances.

Looking foward to this as well, hopfuly Brendan can put up a good show against Taylor!

Spoke to Brendan briefly on Saturday and I got the feeling he's quietly confident he can spring a surprise over the short format.
Robert Thornton has a broken hand too so I fancy Lewis to win that match.

Really enjoying the action so far, two attemps at 9 darters and both of them players are out! Delighted The Pieman is through! Dudbridge should win this easy enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,275 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Is the selling tickets for over face value allowed??

2 tickets for Friday cost 70, not 100.

I think it is against the rules and also I'm bored hearing about tickets on this thread at this stage, there are loads of threads about tickets.

great day of darts so far. Top marks Brendan, well played. Only Anderson and Taylor would of beat him comfortably today.
