I don't think they have enough fans here.
Really? I thought Rammstein were one of those bands that every metal fan liked. I don't think I've ever met a metal fan that didn't like them and I know quite a few non metal fans who would go just for the pyrotechnics!

This is great ! Didn't think this thread would get so much interest. We should go there on one bus as the 'Boardsies' :P

Why do you say Slane is out if its the first quarter ? Weather ?
Other than it's capacity is 80,000 people, they are only allowed have one gig a year and the state of the weather in Jan/Feb/March in April?
I'm looking forward to it and may even come back for it (see what UK dates they do) but I can see this being in the O2 as someone said it's modular so can suit however many tickets they sell for it.

any ideas when tickets are on sale ???

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,593 ✭✭✭barry181091

Hard to know really. I'd say around September probably, They have to finish up the ticket sales for the 09 concerts first.

EDIT: It says on the english version of the announcement, that they are 'planning' these concerts, so no concrete venues etc have been made.

Wow! One of those bands that I've always wanted to see.

Venue wise I can see them using either the Point or if its finished on time, the new concert hall they're building near Grand Canal Dock, think that should be completed by January and seats around 5000 or so.

can't wait, the 3 best gigs i've ever been to were all Rammstein gigs, still gonna go see them in Britain but can't wait for the Irish show, they're better indoors as well, the ambassador has a similar feel to brixton so would be good if capacity is big enough

I also pledge my support to the attendance of this gig!

Does anyone else find that the singer sounds a bit like McBain?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,129 ✭✭✭Nightwish

Or that McBain sounds like Till!

I can say that with me in attendance at this gig, Richard Kruspe is not safe :p
