WWE will probably screw it up and put his matches with Chyna on it!

I missed this post about the Jericho set.

Waaaaay too much stuff to put on three discs. The clever stuff would be to split up his career like he did in his books. Do a set for his pre WWE career and another one for his WWE stuff. His Japanese stuff is less freely available than the likes of Benoit, Guerrero etc, as he worked for smaller companies like rather than New Japan. And then in ECW and WCW he had loads of good matches as well as some great promos.

Just thinking about the Jericho disc, do ye think they'll put a Y2J documentary (like HBK on "Heartbreak and Triumph" or Batista on "I Walk Alone") on Disc 1 and put the matches on Disc 2 and 3 or will they just put all of his matches onto the 3 discs?

Cant see much of his ECW run going into the set tbh, probably his match with 2 Cold Scorpio for the TV Title and one or two others.. Id imagine it'd be mostly stuff from his second run with WWE

As long as his "1,004 moves" promo in WCW makes it as an extra, I'll be happy.

    ARMBAR!!!

Hi best match in ECW was that epic 4 way he had with Shane Douglas, Scorpio and one of the Pitbulls. Elimination rules, went over 40 minutes, seriously underrated match.

Awesome awesome match, im thinking most of the ECW matches wont make it because of the PG sh*t, but obviously id love to see loads of his ECW matches make the disc, particularly the ones against Sabu and Taz..

The SMW stuff I'd be interested in seeing now. I've only seena couple of matches with him an Storm teaming but they were years ahead of their time.

Great match, and the Francine powerbomb spot at the end was brilliant.

Silvervision are also running a special offers sale on some PPV dvds from the last few years as well as a few other little gems.

    http://www.silvervision.co.uk/category/Special-Offers/page1.html

Starrcade, Saturday Night's, World Class and No Way Out 2006 are well worth having. I ain't seen the Manager's DVD - is it any good?

Are any of these worth getting/watching :
    Unforgiven 2005
    Great American Bash 2005
    Armageddon 2005
    Survivor Series 2005
    Backlash 2006

I could well imagine that both Cyber Sunday 2006 and No Mercy 2006 are pretty dodgy and I have the rest.

WWE is working on a DVD release for Bobby "The Brain" Heenan which is due out on 12/18.

WWE is also working on a DVD called "100 Craziest Moments in WWE History" which is due out on 12/14 as well as a Best of Smackdown 2010 DVD.

WWE has a John Cena DVD set in the works for an 11/9 release

The Heenan DVD should be awesome, particularly love the chance to see his AWA stuff

What's the point of making another DVD on Cena. This will be the 4th Cena DVD in 4-5 years

Third surely? World Life, the 3-

    51SMK0CV6QL._SL500_AA300_.jpg514rqKESKiL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Neither of them look particularly good. Word Life is ok in the sense that it focuses on his early career a lot and you're probably not going to have too many ealry matches on any DVD any time soon.

HMV still have a few My Life let for €15 but I've no idea if it's worth it or not. The match listing looks quite bare and the third disc devoted to cars and raps? Eh...

I read the review in PowerSlam and they said avoid. They said it's really boring. And the match listing is not incentive either.

Ah ye must be thinking of this one :http://www.silvervision.co.uk/products/Best-of-WWE-Volume-2-John-Cena-DVD.html

    WWE1269-front.jpg

Ah I don't know, those don't really count per se as they're merely a short collection of PPV matches and there's loads of them and they cross over with any possible box set material.

If you want to get really particular about it then you could include this one too:
    http://www.silvervision.co.uk/products/The-Best-of-Raw-Smackdown-Volume-3-Cena-vs-Edge-DVD.html

    WWEB011-front.jpg

Is that Word Life DVD any good anyways?
As I said, it's got a bizarre list of matches...
    Randy Orton’s farewell match
    The Prototype vs. Randy Orton
    OVW 19/01/02

    vs. Chris Jericho
    Vengeance 21/07/02

“I Quit" Match for the WWE Championship
    vs. JBL
    Judgment Day 22/05/05

John Cena, HBK, Hulk Hogan vs. Tyson Tomko, Chris Jericho, Christian
    Raw 27/06/05

"Extreme Rules" Match for the WWE Championship
    vs. RVD
    ECW One Night Stand 11/06/06

“TLC” Match for the WWE Championship
    vs. Edge
    Unforgiven 17/09/06

I have the Unforgiven match on that DVD, hardly one of his best matches surely? (or has he not had that many good matches!) it's alright but he didn't look comfortable I thought.

    He lost the ECW match!

A six man tag from RAW on a superstar DVD :/

I'd like to see the Orton match, I think I have the Jericho one and the I Quit match is a bit alluring due to the blood and violence not seen in years.

    Worth 15 squids?

    - WWE will be releasing the first Chris Jericho triple disc DVD to be titled "Chris Jericho: The Highlight Reel" which will feature a total of thirty matches with a couple from ECW, WCW and obviously WWE. The DVD set will be released on September 21 and will run for 540 minutes. This video will not have the usual sit down documentary-style feature but rather filled with full matches from his long career. Each disc will contain several extras as well.

World life is a short documentary but it does include pretty much his best raps from 2002-3, i.e. Cena at his best! His matches weren't the best but it's a bit of nostalgia; 15 quid is too much for me for this, but if you like Cena you should get it.

I actually do not like that, i think first disc being documentery and discs 2 and three being matches is a far better idea!

I'd normally agree with this, but in this case i think it's fine, because Jericho's career has been so long, and stuffed to the gills with great matches. They can always do another one, with a documentary once he's done- at least we should get a solid, varied collection of stuff on this!
