Ordered the anthology and got summerslam 2008 in the post. Now fair enough I was chancing my arm but they could have at least emailed to say it was their bad and if i still want to make the purchase its available through this link at x amount of euro. Has anyone emailed them about it yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,153 ✭✭✭Jolt2007

Yeah, got the same. Told them that wasn't what I ordered and they said send it back and they'd refund me. Replied back chancing my arm basically asking if I already paid for a product and you said you'd deliver it then you should. That wasn't long ago so we'll see how it goes :pac:

I'll order that, the matches with Joe are worth the fiver alone. Sound for the link!

The matches with Lethal, Nagata and the KOTM make it an even better DVD. Plus the documentary pieces aren't entirely useless either. An absolute steal at a fiver if you ask me.

The official synopsis for the DVD reads:

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is one of the most legendary performers in the history of sports entertainment. The popular superstar made his name in the Carolina territory and went on to become a fan favorite in WCW and WWE. His battles with Ric Flair for the NWA Championship kept fans on the edge of their seats and his Intercontinental Championship match with "Macho Man" Randy Savage is considered by many the greatest match in WrestleMania annals. Now for the first time ever on DVD, fans can relive the career of Ricky Steamboat. This 3-DVD set has a biographical documentary feature on Steamboat's life, as well as some of the biggest matches of his career.

The DVD will be released Tuesday 6/29.

Anyone know any good sites for promotion and wrestler compilations? I remember seeing comps ages ago on DVDVR before but was told you need to register to get them and it's a balls to try get registered and then once you get it you have to rate everything on the comp?
ivpvideos.comhas loads of good stuff too, but outside of those I'm not too sure where's reliable or not.

I just watched Heartbreak and Triumph the Shawn Michaels story on DVD last night. It was very good. Surprisingly good. I haven't watched the matches but there's a 2 hour documentary on it that is very interesting. HBK was never one of my favourite wrestlers. He's had some fantastic matches though but I was never a huge fan of him as a performer or on the mic. But having said that, his ladder match with Razor at WM10 is still one of my fav matches ever.

I got the DVD for free with WWE shop in America. They had a special offer on if you spent more than $25.

Even though I got it for free, on the back of that documentary, I'd have paid for it too. Definitely worth checking out IMHO.

A few tweaks I'd make to that DVD, I'd cut:
    Orton vs Cena "I Quit"
    Bragging Rights Raw vs SD
DX vs Legacy Hell in a Cell
Edge vs Jeff Hardy Judgement Day
Punk vs Jeff Hardy TLC SummerSlam
    6 Pack Challenge

    And Replace With:
Cena vs Orton Ironman Match, Bragging Rights
    DX vs Legacy SummerSlam
Edge vs Jeff Hardy Ladder Match Extreme Rules
Jeff Hardy vs CM Punk Night Of Champions
John Cena vs Triple H vs Shawn Michaels Survivor Series
John Morrison vs Shelton Benjamin Judgement Day

Still looks pretty good though, I'll probably wait a few months for the hype to die down then I'll have a look for it on ebay and if the price is right, I'll buy it

Yeah, that's the fella. simania.co.uk is still up and running last time I checked, specialising mostly in VHS', althought if you spot something you fancy, he'll knock it onto DVD for you.

His Videos are more expensive than DVD', oddly enough. Got this coming my way soon . . . http://wrestlingdvd.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=48&products_id=323

    - There are several new DVD's in the works including a three-disc set on Randy Orton--the standard documentary and matches, and also a special on the Divas with matches, interviews, and photo shoots.

    - World Wrestling Entertainment is currently working on an Elimination Chamber DVD Anthology, which would feature many of the Chambers from 2002-present and some sort of Raw Anthology DVD that would feature complete episodes from the first year Raw was on the air, 1993.

It's about time we had an Orton DVD! I wonder how they'll deal with the whole Benoit situation here, you can't produce this without mentioning that Orton is the youngest champion in history and surely they'll have to at least mention Chris. I'm not expecting them to show the full match or anything but there has to be some sort of mention/video package. Btw, here's a video I found on youtube on how WWE might show Orton's title win, very funny - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUdCzqfAKAo

Anyway, if we're talking match listings, here's what I'd like to see

Disc 1: Rise of The Legend Killer
vs Hardcore Holly, Smackdown, Debut Match
    vs Shawn Michaels, Unforgiven 03
vs RVD, IC Title Match, Armageddon 03
vs Mick Foley, Extreme Rules Match Backlash 04
    vs Edge, Vengeance 04
Video Package about his world title win and break from Evolution (full match if possible but we all know that's not going to happen)
vs Triple H, WHC Title, Unforgiven 04
vs Ric Flair, Steel Cage Match Taboo Tuesday 04

    Disc 2: Finding his path
Video Package about feud with Undertaker
    vs Undertaker, Casket Match
vs Undertaker, Hell in a Cell, Armageddon 05
vs Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle, Wrestlemania 22
    vs Kurt Angle, Vengeance 06
    vs Hulk Hogan, Summerslam 06
Formation of Rated RKO Video Package
R-RKO vs DX, Cyber Sunday 06
R-RKO vs DX, New Years Revolution 07
    vs Edge, Raw 07
    vs Cena, SummerSlam 07

    Disc 3: Age of Orton
vs Triple H, Last Man Standing, WWE Title, No Mercy 07
    vs HBK, Survivor Series 07
vs Jeff Hardy, Royal Rumble 08
vs Triple H vs John Cena, Wrestlemania 24
Video Package about formation of Legacy
    Highlights of 2009 Royal Rumble
Legacy vs Triple H, Batista & Shane, Backlash 09
vs Triple H vs Cena, Night of Champions 09
vs Cena, Ironman, Bragging Rights 09 (Very unlikely they'll put this on but we we can dream lol)
Breakup of Legacy package followed by Triple Threat Wrestlemania 26

Wow, you actually made your own listings. Fair play to ya and yes, I'd agree with most matches you've mentioned.

I'm pretty sure Disc 1 will be a documentary while Discs 2 and 3 will be the matches
