Em, what? Steamboat was in 2 ppvs matches this year alone, theyve constantly had his match with Savage at WM3 near the top of any list of great WM matches, he was a big part of the Jake Roberts dvd (and others),and he was massively over during his WWF run, they put out a Road Warriors dvd and they were well established in NWA and other feds before their WWF run, in fact most of the matches on their dvd is from their pre-WWF days

So was Dusty Rhodes in that case, but he got a DVD.

And its not as if Steamboat's WWF run wasn't insignificant. He did have one of the greatest WWF matches ever at Mania 3.

He's one of the greatest workers of all time, he's well deserving of a set.

But your point doesnt make sense, Dusty was more of an NWA star than a WWF one, same with Flair and The Road Warriors, sure even The Von Erichs and WCCW got a dvd, and that was a completely different company

I would assume WWE choose to release DVDs that they believe will be financially viable,
perhaps they think a steamboat retrospective wouldn't be?
I don't know. i dont, and have never, worked for said company. :o

Where in the name of god is a Chris Jericho dvd? Surely they'll make one soon

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

There are actually quite a few Jericho DVDs around the place, but obviously include none of his WWE work, but with plenty of his Japanese and US territories work. I have a few at home. Very intersting viewing.

I just watched Angle vs. 'Taker from No Way Out '06 and that really is a bit of a forgotten classic. Epic wrestling match.

Why do a Morrison DVD if your going to leave out the entire Johnny Nitro run? That said, there's not a bad match on that DVD. The Raw DVD on the other hand looks terrible. The gave the entire 15 year history of Raw three discs and 2009 itself gets the same.

That Raw DVD looks awful. Who would want to watch Mark Henry vs. Big Show in a body-slam contest?? Making it a 3 DVD set is a joke. I don't think it's available for over here (region 1 exclusive)

The Jo Mo DVD looks interesting alright. Surprised that no Johnny Nitro match is on it (Ladder match at Armageddon 06 and the cage match against Jeff to name 2) but WWE probably don't want their young fans to know that Jo Mo was actually Jo Nitro. Delighted to see the Jo MO/Rey match is on it. That was an awesome match

What would be mildly interesting is if they did a similar 3 disc set for every year of RAW since 2003.

Having a John Morrison set at this stage of his career when theres STILL no sign of a Ricky Steamboat set is just a massive fail IMO.:(

Or MNMs shock debut win over Eddie and Chavo should have been on there. What a pointless DVD surely a Jericho or even CM Punk DVD would have been much better considering most of the matches on there are from free to air television..
