    I think that the people who have been predicting widespread whiteness are being a little over-optimistic.

    My Prediction : Most areas, particularly in the east will remain totally snow-free. I know nothing about meteorology, but am just using simple common sense :)

    Sadly I think you're right, I'm just back from the pub and if anything it's warmer than it was earlier. Still, here's hoping.

    5am and not a flake to be seen in Dublin ... broken, scattered clouds... moderate breeze... colder than a witches tit though.

    Lots of dreams will be answered this morning as
    the kids open there prezzies large band of snow moving
    southeast, Dublin in firing line :D

    Should be here around 7am and this time i am CERTAIN
    that Dublin will be hit..........enjoy it should last around
    2-3 hours :)

    Still lightly snowing here. (Dublin Northside)
    Rooftops have a shallow covering of snow, grass is still patchy.

    Snowing like mad still here in Arklow and the sky has closed in all round, no sign of a clearance anywhere.
    Temp has dropped from +1 at my last post to 0 now

    Thats the NRA report for 8 at the Arklow bypass

    It says roadstate snow which I can confirm as it's very white here anyway :D

    As usual the automated station cant tell that the precipitation is snow and always rain but I can confirm that it should read heavy snowfall not heavy rainfall :)
