I would say like last time there is overload of people applying. I would leave it awhile and try again.

They are the department in charge of recruitment in the civil service . This is a nationwide campaign for clerical officers in all departments.

Where can you practice the tests?

I applied in the 2014 campaign and it took 6 months to get to stage 2, and by then I had secured another job and so dropped out of the running.

How far down the panel got offers last time? And how long were people waiting?

I know it varies but I'd love a little insight.

    Got it sorted. Thank you.

Applied myself there. Was expecting a more substantial questionnaire for the initial application, best of luck everyone.

Soooo, are you guaranteed a chance at the tests or the ability to submit a CV or something down the line? That felt crushingly underwhelming. Kind of like 'Here is me. I'm interested in job! Bye!' :D

Buy some numerical/error checking/verbal reasoning type books, that's how I passed (numerical in my case. I was fine with other parts.) I got mine in Chapters. There are also limited tests on PAS website, but not enough.

I've just applied. Now I have to practice for the tests. Are they different to the online TCO questionnaire? Thanks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,101 ✭✭✭Technocentral

I was surprised by how simple the application process was.

Its not, that's only registration, online tests are in two parts first a 90 minute assessment's questionaire and later the main part covering error checking, numerical and verbal comprehensive.

What sort of wage does it pay?

    Has that been confirmed already?

When you say assessment questionnaire, you mean the ones based on situational judgement, etc.?

    There wasn't one last time.

Starts off around €21k, rising incrementally to around €37k over about two decades.

So I'm in......Anyone have any idea when EO might open up for 2016?

It was about 6 months behind last time, so I'd expect similar this time round.
