Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think his D is better than Roy's though. Loma's D is all round....Roy's was more reflex based...So, losing a step is more apt for the likes of Roy.

I think Teo can find the chin clean.....If he does, we may get a surprise, or not, for me.......

Loma is deservedly the favorite here...He has all the tools and all the game to win, but what happens, say, if Teo can even land and hurt Loma, to the point where Loma becomes vey cagey and cautious, or even reluctant to risk too much?

I just don't want another 10-12 rds of Loma not getting hit clean/hard, and simply being too much...I'd love to see Teo get in his shots clean and hard...

Initially given their past one would reflexively go for a Loma win and having seen both live I would concur but there is this belief, as you say, that if Lopez can land clean it could really open up the fight. Linares had Loma down but not with the concussive power Lopez has.

Such a shame that no fans for this. I would have gone to Vegas.

Yes, and several shots Linares landed, that were nothing special, seemed to go through Loma’s body. They shook him..

Teo throws with spite and venom, and wants to hurt....And can hurt!

    Smart money on Loma points..

If Teo lands hard and clean, I go with him via TKO..

Gun to my head? Loma points..

    Anyone following Frampton-McGuigan case?

Frampton I’d say could be really regretting this now..

Some of the details coming out of this paint him in a not so nice light..

And he seems to NOT want to take responsibility for his choices and actions!

Frampton definitely being very badly advised so far. Literally seems to have rocked up with zero prep at all. Didn't even know an estimate on the amount of money he was claiming on his first day in court.

    Very odd..

Watching Jaron Ennis there and very impressed. Would beat plenty of names at 147 already imo. As guaranteed a future P4P star as there is in boxing at the moment for me.

It was really, really excellent I thought. Eamonn Magee is a broken man. Must read his book.

I really wish they had made more, I easily could have watched 4/5 episodes like this, ever so slightly rushed.

Dorticos vs Breidis is on Sky Sports this weekend.
Should be an exciting fight. WBSS final.

Dorticos is always fun to watch

Its a great weekend for boxing

2 Charlo Brothers are on Sky Sunday morning

Josh Taylor is back defending the belt

Charlie Edwards going up in weight

and as above the WBSS Final

How do ye think the Charlo Brothers will go?

Derevyanchenko was very unlucky against GGG. He has miles on the clock though so I'll go with Charlo here.
I think Rosario beats the other Charlo.

No British broadcaster confirmed yet for Charlos

It’s a helluva busy weekend for boxing

    I think both Charlos win...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,913 ✭✭✭Morrison J

I like both Charlo's to win by KO tbh.

Not sure Rosario is all that to be honest, big step up for him. Only got the fight because he knocked out a chinny J-Rock.

Think Derevyachenko is a decent style matchup for Jermall.
Walks forward quite open to counters. Seen him hurt by far less a puncher than Jermall. He's tough though so might go distance in a competitive fight. Just have a feeling Jermall stops him late.

Tyrone McKenna v Ohara Davies about to start any minute now on Sky. Love to see him do it but struggle to see how McKenna can win to be honest. Been lucky on the cards on a number of occasions and Davies should just be a level above.

McKenna was disciplined and boxed well but Ohara just had that extra quality and power on his shots. I enjoyed the fight, I'm a fan of Tyrone and I'll always tune in. I see on his social media they were lining up to tell him he was robbed etc etc but it was the right result.

You might be waiting a while..

Our best hitter at present is James Tennyson..

We just don’t produce real good punchers..

Yeah thought McKenna boxed out of his skin but still didn't have enough. Davies definitely with the better quality shots. McKenna has no leg to stand on crying robbery coming off that Mimoune fight anyway which was an actual blatant robbery.

    Jimmy McClarnin a known puncher..

    Rinty Monaghan another puncher..

Barry was quite a good hitter as well..

In the amateurs, Billy Walsh the best I have seen!!

Little concerning that with two weeks to go, no British channel offering Teo/Loma...

    ESPN hosting it alright...

Surely BT will pick it up. Arum came out with a come and get it plea during the week. Would expect BT to pick it up any day now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 830 ✭✭✭Butson

These things can often get picked up the week of the event.

Not too many fights from the States these days where I'd be setting the alarm in the middle of the night, but this is one of them.

Joshua Buatsi must be hiding a glass jaw. In another terrible fight this weekend. They seem extremely reluctant to move him up a level. Never a good sign especially when it's someone as skilled as he is.

He impresed me in Rio, but the pro journey has been so bland.

Baranchyk taken to hospital after. Badly limping out of the ring. Legs aren't meant to bent like that.

Katie Taylor going up against Miriam Gutierrez on 11th November.
I know nothing about her, but the articles I've read seem a bit meh about it, so I expect a KT win based on that alone!

His opponent was better than expected to be fair but you can definitely see some issues with Buatsi in that performance last night. Took a lot of flush shots. Wouldn't be putting him in with a puncher like Callum Johnson anytime soon if I was handling him.
