Canelo vs Jacobs announced for May 4th.

    Should be a good one.

    That's a great matchup.

Canelo doesn't duck anyone does he? Fair play. I thought he lost both GGG fights but he's willing to get in the ring with anyone.

Jacobs Is a big middle, looked a weight class above GGG when they fought so I'm interested to see if he can box at range using his natural advantages like he did in the GGG fight.

Very tricky fight for Canelo, I’d give Jacobs a real chance of winning that with fair scoring.

I just found out ITV are showing the Pacquiao fights this weekend free-to-air. ITV4 that is. They also showed the Caleb Plant fight last Sunday. It's news to me anyway!

Anyone know if there are repeats? Can’t record ITV4 in Sky Ireland, don’t want to stay up!

Yes, but actually, I also have it in the back of my mind...'This Programme is not available in your area'....or some such...

Anyone watching Cheeseman - Garcia? Should be a good scrap.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Sergio Garcia teeing off in the first there. (Couldn't resist. :o )

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Macklin is talking ****e.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Impressed by Garcia so far, don't think Cheeseman is anything special anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

I've Garcia 6-0 up. Cheeseman awful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Savage beating for Cheeseman, have Garcia 9-1 up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

10-2 Garcia. All about levels there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,929 ✭✭✭normanoffside

one of the judges had it 115-114

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

119-109, 119-109, 115-114. Last judge should never work another fight in his life. Shocking.

Garcia won that easy. Fair play to him. Hopefully throw him straight in with Fowler next

Billy Joe Saunders to face Shefat Isufi in WBO super-middleweight title bout.

Good opportunity for BJS moving up in weight.

So Loma Crolla is on April 12 Staples Centre. Should be a walk in the park for Loma

Looking forward to hearing Jonny Nelson make a case for Crolla

At least it's a chance to see a top level name on Sky (Loma, not Crolla). The options on TV lately now seem to be Riston / Cheeseman types stepping up to European level, or PPV. Sky had a good thing going there for a few years, its a shame.

Yep Hearn's focus has completely shifted to providing for DAZN and the Sky cards are suffering because of it. Not that they were great before anyway but they're even worse than ever now.

At times fascinating, laughable, extraordinary and beguiling! Best part for me was watching Frampton's face while Eubanks goes off on a tangent! Plus the cop badge ffs. Does he think he's Steven Seagal??!

Can't believe he's getting a title shot just like that against a guy who's not even a top 5 SMW from Germany yet is somehow #1 by WBO.

Boxing would rip your hair out sometimes. The Canelo-Fielding fight made a tiny fraction of sense but this makes no sense at all how it is happening.

The WBO have always been quite kind in their assessment of fighters from the UK and Germany.
